17 is a cracking innings mate.
My Manc Terrier was same age when she passed but the longer they live the harder it is when they go.
Best thing I did was get another mutt.

Manchester Terriers are cracking dogs, a friend has one and he's a belter. I don't understand why they aren't more popular.

Came back from holiday and he passed away in the kennels while we were flying back. 17 years I wished it would have been 18 years.
That must have been awful mate, got back from Turkey a couple of weeks ago and was worried about mine being over 15, fortunately made it back and he was fine, but I was absolutely dreading having to go through what you had to.

Unfortunately, he’s fallen down some concrete steps last weekend and Wednesday his legs have started going on him, the left side in particular and tbh, I’m not that hopeful, it’s more gutting as he’s his usual self in every other way,

I feel for you, but he is still with his pack and loving every second, we tried massage and heat pads when Oscar started slowing down.
