Pep played Zack Steffan in the comps.

Charles would play like Trafford, in FA and League cup.

Problem comes if Donna gets injured or suspended for all his yellows!

True, but Steffan was rubbish is my point. We’ve had some great options as second choice and Trafford clearly isn’t one. Will be interesting to see what happens but could see it happening. Has played well for a terrible team and he’s great with his feet. I guess we also want a homegrown 2nd choice to fill out numbers.

What do you mean Trafford isn’t one ?
 
Know next to nothing about him but you don't see many top teams signing a keeper of his age and experience to be number 2. A huge step backwards in squad quality and that's not what we need right now.

Need a number 2 that is ready to play because you can almost guarantee donnarumma is going to get himself suspended next season with his behaviour towards officials, minor miracle it didn't happen this season.

Trafford is a good enough keeper to be starting somewhere else at a high level and will expect that of himself. He's great but it's not sustainable thinking he'll be a second choice keeper. He will leave whether on loan or sold.
 
Charles released at 16 having been schooled in academy from age 8 to accommodate a keeper scouted in from outside as usual, and suprise suprise we are looking at signing him back because profile fits. Need to start looking what they have already rather than letting recruitment run wild buying 15/16 year olds in constantly

Which has allowed him to get significant first team experience in men's football which has allowed him to develop to the stage he is interesting to us.
