Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Wow, great plan boss. Let's play without wingers then.

since when have we played with wingers in the truest sense....

Navas certinaly aint.....comes inside the majority of the time as does sterling......

Why do we need to play with wingers...from what I've read pep likes to play with 3 mobile forwards that can interchange...he had Henry playing wide left in his Barca days (would you describe Henry as a winger?)

Regardless of the fee, I prefer Nolito. Got everything you'd want in a wide forward. If you can hold your own, indeed stand out in a strong Spanish national team, which plays a similar style to the football I associate with Pep, then that's a big plus. I have seen Aubameyeng quite a few times over the years and he has never stood out for me as being anywhere near a £60m player. Just quick.

Fair enough....tis all about opinions. I don't rate Nolito that highly.

The one thing I do like about him however is his tenacity ( a little Tevez like which can only be a good thing)

I didn't know anything about him until the last two Spanish games, and I am just going off that. It's his tenacity that marks him out.

They still had all the traits to be wingers. You cannot expect us and especially Pep to start De Bruyne and Silva on the wings. Maybe De Bruyne but definitely not Silva.
At Bayern, Pep had 4 inverted wingers - Costa, Coman, Ribery and Robben. His main game was built around to get those wide men 1 on 1 with the opposing defender and either cut in or put a cross in if needed.
With the scheme you suggested, we would have Raheem who's obviously far from being a finished article and Aubameyang who could averagely play the wide role and that's it.
And about the Barcelona, It was a different time, and the tiki-taka Pep was just the beginning. It was not until his first season at Bayern when Pep realised that his old Barcelona philosophy is getting obsolete.
Also, if you are suggesting that we could implement that 4-3-3 with Messi Henry and Eto'o with Raheem Aubameyang and Sergio, then it will definitely not work. None of them can carve out defenses like those three (except maybe Aguero, but it's definitely not his forte)
