Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Doubt it is true. Maybe more letting Arsenal know we have another option to Sanchez. I'd be happy with either, or both...(if only) but would add something different to our attack now we have wing backs who can cross a ball.

+1 wish we made a move earlier for him considering the aerial threat he offers, would offer more diversity to our attack than sanchez

I think he'd be well suited to the Premier League, but I'm a bit sceptical about the rumours.

I feel the same. I think he'd thrive with Mendy and Walker on either side, given his pace and positioning acumen and I think he'd be a solid addition.

That said, I feel it's a bit of a "who's left?" link at this point. A touch lazy too - Pep needs a striker. City continue to waste north of 80% of their opportunities every game. Sanchez could well stay and Mbappe seems destined to PSG, so, well, how about Aubameyang again? City wanted him before, so maybe he's still an option? - Problem is though, while it could be things haven't changed from City's end, it's hard to say Dortmund are in the same position they were even a few weeks ago, let alone last year. Dembele will go to Barca for over £100m and, honestly, they probably don't want the headache of finding Auba's replacement so late in the window.

All a bit dubious for me, and I think we all, like Pep, would prefer Sanchez anyway in the end.

Hopefully this would be in addition to Sanchez and not an alternative, although I think that we are more in need of a striker than a winger.

I think he'd be easily obtainable. He has been moaning all summer about wanting to leave. He wanted to leave last year, but BVB were asking for £70m. I think that we could get him for around £50m towards the end of the window.

If he could continue his conversation rate of 30% then it would put him amongst the best strikers in the league. Crucially though, he would offer us pace and height down the middle.

There is no way in the world he is going for 50m i also doubt they'd let him go for 70.

Why do you say that? He's 28 and been demanding to leave for two years. We would also be the only ones interested in him. Morata was £70m and I don't see him going for that kind of money.

Absolutely. Christ, if Lukaku is £90m, the there's no fucking way Aubameyang is going for less than £70m.

Dortmund don't want to sell him and he had a price tag of around 100m for 2 years....

Maybe I'm taking an school veiw on thìs, but a big bustling CF is just what we need, in my veiw, particularly now we have pĺayers in that can actually cross a decent ball. (Very impressed with Mendy, in particular, yesterday)
Unfortunately not many of them are as technically gifted as Pep demands, which is why, wrongly in my opinion, we seem to have thrown all our eggs into the Sanchez basket, with no alternative on the horizon if it all goes t*ts up.
I'd love Sanchez here, and sincerely hope it's in the bag, because, with so many games in the season, an injury to either of our current strikers leaves us very vulnerable indeed.

Our midfielders, though arguably the most creative set (as a whole) in the premiership, sadly, aren't exactly the best finishers.

Not being keen to have the added dimensions of a proper cf & cb is Pep's biggest weakness imo.

If he compromised just a little on that, we would clean up I think. We have the squad to play 'traditional' football as good as anyone, as well as Pepball if we went for extra strength/pace/power in those positions.

But it appears as if we are not willing to do that.
