It was. It is steep but there are very few top strikers around nowadays. Add that to new tv money and that's market value. Lukaku is valued at about 65mil by Everton so I'd say that's about right.

he's won a Bundesliga POTY vote, but the not the big prestigious one voted for by the other players - the one which KDB won and got so much praise for.

If we are looking to spend £60m on a wide forward then I'm all for it, Aubamayang had his success last season playing through the middle , why sign someone for £60m and then play them out of position ??

What we cant forget is that Pep likes goals from midfield....its not all about the strikers.....Aubameyang would give us what Neymar gives Barcelona......Aubameyang is very comfortable playing from a wibe position and would be an excellent fit for Pep's system if we were in for him.......I agree, doesnt seem many rumours that he is a target for us but when you look at his playing style and what Neymar offers Barcelona, he could make the same impact.......(not saying he is as good as Neymar because he isnt but just trying to explain why I think he would be a good fit!)

I honestly can't see him moving anywhere but Madrid, BVB have no reason to sell unless Auba forces it. I can only see him really forcing a move if Madrid wanted him.

Pep's unbelievable opposition analysis in Germany has secured KDB, Gundo and now wanting Aubem. May be hard to prise away but worth it as a very good player. He loves Madrid but if they havent made a move then Pep and the package could sway it.
