Yep, irrespective of his twattishness, it takes some serious guts to stand in front of a guy bowling 90mph+ who’s clearly intent on hurting you, especially with a crowd cheering him on and when you dont have the technique to get out of the way. Holding a bat is a very scary and lonely place when bowlers are that quick.

Pretty sure Lee later admitted he bowled from about 6ft beyond the crease as well. Morgan probably thought it would be a bit of a lark to face a few gentle throw downs.
 
It’s a white indoor cricket ball and if Lee had wanted to hurt him he could have.
It was just showbiz posturing.
 
A pro cricketer of that calibre could land a ball on the same spot six times out of six in an over.

While i am no fan of khan and the congestion charge issue is shocking
To blame him for 29 bus drivers dying and say he is passing the buck is a disgrace
He is not an expert in pandemics and ppe, so to tell him not to listen to the ‘expert’ advice and to go on his gut is ridiculous
Maybe at the end of this there will be an inquiry and obviously thing have been done wrong and people will be responsible but piers and his gut are not really helpful
It’s easy to talk shit to his millions of twitter followers but he has zero responsibility and is basically trying to boost ratings for a tv show and his own profile
He doesn’t give a fuck about anything other than himself

I saw part of that interview having googled it. What struck was the way the the online tabloids in this case the Express and Mirror report glorify him in the way they report his rudeness starting with headlines like 'Livid/furious Piers Morgan explodes at/slams/destroys and tears into/tears apart/tears a strip off' etc etc.
Morgan so quickly shouted 'l dont want to know about your prayers' before Sadiq Khan had even finished his condolences it seemed pre planned.
I never found out why the 9 dead bus drivers rose to 29. Perhaps the protective screens were not fitted quickly enough, perhaps they were already infected or perhaps they contracted the disease elsewhere. I don't know from the clip but it showed once more that Morgan the Mighty Mouth is just a bully boy who likes to think he is the voice of the people.

What would piers have done different?
He has less chance of getting a government minister on now
He is judge jury and executioner based on his own self importance
He is totally using this pandemic as a platform for himself

Like he did with the Grenfell Towers Fire three years ago. A few days later the newly appointed Housing Minister was on fresh out of the egg and had obviously not got a grip of his brief as he had been firefighting excuse the pun.
His department were struggling to get info from local councils as to how much similar cladding was in use. These councils were slow in responding. Nevertheless the minister got the usual abuse from Morgan. It turned out that many of the blocks were in the Labour big city auhorities, some built in the New Labour days. But that didnt matter. Morgan had his weak helpless, hopeless and hapless victim.

He must have been a right bastard to work under as a tabloid editor.
 
He's on mine and my wifes list, along with Trump, Katie Hopkins, Alan Brazil, and Bill Oddie. If we see them round our parts we take one for the world and kill them.
