He really made a difference in this game but it's hard to judge him because he played well in his last game for a short while then turned to shit & became an absolute liability.

I feel he's probably best used in small doses.
He did not become a liability. We did not give up any goals due to his defensive frailities. He played a tailored cornerkick that was untercepted and most of BM threw out their toys. He was taken out to get a striker on the field. No different than how other CMs get pulled to get more attacking players on the field. I don't see how a guy who had average 89% completion (in spite of always getting the ball forward constantly, and quickly gets accused of turning shit. He put in 2 of those same kicks perfectly in the last game. He didn't just lose accuracy after running around for 30 minutes.

FFS, I am older than him and certain I can last 45 minutes easy without losing my touch. The idea that a professional footballer tires after 30 minutes is laughable. By the way, he completed the 10 of his final 11 passes before he got pulled. So six out of the 7 missed place passes came in the first 40 minutes of the game. Are folks really arguing that their are professional players who tire after 25 minutes? Really!
Sorry Dax77 but that Sporting game that some people are referring to, after the first 15 minutes he was awful and you're the only one saying otherwise.

However, I would like to see him get more game time for the rest of the season. Especially that Silva's off the boil and needs a break.

quality player. with even one decent wide man he'd look like a superstar, alas we don't have one.

has been fantastic at creating space for kolarov to hit first time balls in. a starter for me unless he can't go — barry's form has been dire for two months

*edit though barry should be in ahead of NDJ
The tea, for the run in is easy to pick.

Hart
Micah.Komps.Lescott.Clichy
Pizarro..Barry
Silva..Yaya..Nasri
Aguero.

Start with that 11, then sub depending on form and tiring. If Aguero seems off, pop in Tevez. If Silva seems tired, throw in Balotelli, If Pizarro tires, throw in Milner, or if you are behind, make it Dzeko, or if you are in front and want to shut it down, then give them some De Jong or Zabaletta. If Nasri waffles, Johnson in for a few dribbles, if Yaya looks ragged, get Milner in. If Micah hobbles throw in a Zab. If CLichy's crosses arent making it in, Pop a Kolarov.

But by and large, stay with that starting 11. WIthout knowledge of form, that is simply the most talented 11 we have above.

Yeah I'd go with that.

let us for one second assume the above is true. That he became dogshit after 15 minutes. There are 2 conclusion that one can draw for this: 1) He had an off night or 2) He is the first professional footballer in modern history, who somehow can only play 15 - 20 minutes. Option 2 is so ridiculous and only gets accepted coz no one truly thinks about it. Is it really possible for a professional player who trains daily for 3 months (that we know of, he was probably training daily at Roma too. But lets limit it to the 3 months we know. i.e. Since January) Is it really possible that their is such a player that can only last 20 minutes of an actual footbal game? I mean simply thinking about this clearly shows how ridiculous the assertion is.

So clearly, even if one were to swear that he had a shit game against Sporting (which as you know I have shown many times he didn't) the conclusion has to be that he had a poor game. But talent wise, decision making wise, touch on the ball wise, passing wise, movement wise - it is as clear as spring water that he is miles ahead of everyone else in our midfield.

So at best, we can say he had a shit game against Sporting. But clearly his talent (like David's) is undeniable. FFS, we let Nasri play for 7 months before he started showing any consistent signs of stardom. This dude put in a blinder in his first 10 minutes on the pitch. Has had the equivalent of 1 and a half games in total minutes and has a goal and 3 assists already! from the defensive midfield position.

His touches are fantastic, so is his decision making and his movement. He is a class above most of our players. It seems the fact he came for free as opposed to 20 million dollars seems to be working against him. What a shame :(
