Because UEFA have capped owner contributions toward the playing squad & we can only have a loan from a commercial FSC registered lender. And this is why I am baffled, why would we need to supposedly inflate sponsorship when we could have just asked the owner for a loan of £100 million.
JewelZeeAbsolutely impossible for so many reasons not the least of which is the investment business relationship between our owners and the UK government. Does anyone really believe the UK will allow these extremely beneficial relations to collapse over the bogus complaints of some fucking spoiled, self serving football clubs? Not happening, not on this planet...
Also, what are the requirements needed for the gov't to appoint an oversight body? It's obviously not up to the PL themselves...
So true, they've never been bigger than City, not before the PL rolled around and not in the PL era. They broke into the top 4 around the same time we did. Spent most of the 90s and early 00s as a mid table club. Fair enough they didn't have as bad a 90s as City did, but that's not much an achievement.I’d say fork in the sugar bowl club need looking at Pam , how did they ever wangle themselves into the big “six?” A club who last won the title in 62 - six season’s previous to our last one in the old format ? Delusions of grandeur springs to mind. I hate spurs !
Pep perked me up Pam , I was ready for throwing to towel in until his presser - we all need to stick together, this manager we have is by far the greatest in my opinion- love the guy !Oh my God, I am getting angrier and angrier about the duplicity and double standards of the football authorities; the toxic tabloid media and the green-eyed, agenda peddling, hypocritical wank fest that's been going on amongst the fans of our rivals. "Hatred" is a strong word, only to be used in the most extreme of circumstances. But in this case, it's not strong enough. Makes me sick to my stomach. CTID!
Couldn’t describe it better myself mate !So true, they've never been bigger than City, not before the PL rolled around and not in the PL era. They broke into the top 4 around the same time we did. Yet they pushed Pochetino to give soundbites like that while Pellers was manager I seem to remember. Some of their fans talk as though they were as big and successful as Arsenal and need to get back there. I find some aspects of that club very bizarre. They should view the big sly 3 like City fans do and even Chelsea fans do. Instead they seem to have deluded themselves enough, to give themselves the same entitlement complex that the big sly 3 do, without any justification for it. They think they are part of their crew rather than the one desperately trying to tag along, seeking validation and approval all the time.
I agree, that's why I said embrace it. Like you said... The hatred won't change.Sorry to keep saying this but this hatred will not change no matter what we prove on field or off field or even in Court.
We are ostracised permenantly.
It is like arguing against a flat earth society member who refuses to accept evidence. The media sell views of news that they brain wash their gullible subscribers with.
They have developed a cult of followers.
So how does that work for Todd Boehly and US investment firm Clearlake Capital who have arranged a £500m loan and a revolving credit facility of around £300m.Loans still count as owner investment, FFP allows for a certain level of owner investment but it’s only about £30m per season, or over three seasons - can’t remember which
