PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Might explain why Howard Webb is cracking down on the incompetent showings we’ve seen recently & getting ahead of the narrative

Conspiracy theory here - perhaps these dodgy decisions of late are deliberate, so as to create a smokescreen. They can then say, look it`s not just City that are the victim of poor refereeing/VAR decisions.

It is hard to tell with Stuart Attwell who is generally regarded as the worst referee in the PL. But it is bizarre there was been so little comeback on that goal. The usual situation is for VAR to spend minutes going back in a goalscoring move to find someone offisde and interfering with play. Rashford was offside. He shielded the ball from a City defender and blocked off our goalkeeper. It all happened in plain sight.

That's what I mean something was very dodge. The ex pros called it out. But the press/media didnt say much. Atwell was put on championship duty.

It stunk.

The emails are not evidence of wrong doing. They are evidence of a conversation. They may ’point to’ wrong doing but the PL has to prove wrong doing not stupid gossip.
PS I posted this a million times on the CAS case and CAS agreed, counting the emails as not cogent.
CAS also said at 343 that “ The leaded emails comprise of admissible“ evidence.

CAS also state that UEFAs request for a full un redacted run of emails ( which was never supplied) was a reasonable request

If the PL fail to support their charges then the Commission has nothing to decide… I do not for a second think that will happen due to our new found smoking gun, but your comment that it could not happen is not correct… just saying…

The judicial arm of the PL has appointed a commission I just can’t see how the PL would withdraw the charges.

It seems to me that they hid behind interpreting the word 'impacting' in the laws as a physical blocking.

This excludes any impact on anyone else - no Rashford and Ederson clears it easily. Fernandes wouldn't even try to get there in that situation.
Especially when Rashford shapes to shoot - that fixes Ederson's position as well.
Stone cold impacting on the opponent.

I'm not as convinced that Akanji could have caught up with the ball, but it's possible.

You said earlier that Oliver wouldn't have agreed with the decision - I think that's right. The decision was made very quickly, and I doubt there was time for a recommendation to be made.

I didn’t say withdraw. I said if they fail to produce any evidence to support those charges then there is no case for the commission to answer. It is effectively conceding the case. I also Said I do Not think it will happen…

he is just fucking useless. Remember, this is a man incredibly still in a job as a referee after awarding a goal in 2008 after the ball missed the net!!
