PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Mehh, You cant expect to put up a provocative banner (although classic and in keeping with City fans' sense of humour) like that without taking a bit back. The reaction in the press wasn't particularly negative last weekend, as far as I can tell, some would say positive, and it's taken someone five days to come up with this response, so I would say the banner was a success.
I agree.

And I don’t remember it being MCFC that turned football into a pro-celebrity accounting competition, mr boregraph man, where teams that spend badly get jealous and invent spurious rules off the pitch purely to stop the team they are incapable of stopping on it.

I think we should embrace the fact that we get fairer coverage in legal journals than we do in football publications. There must be a chant in there somewhere.

Edit: I know what we could do to boil some more red piss. You know how in the US, fans hold up Bible references with "relevant" quotes? We could do the same with the CAS report. Hold up a sign that says "CAS: XI Bv.: 293", for example. That would cause some head scratching. :)

As I said earlier - this mentalist thinks John Stones is a ‘rogue’ insider, fixing it for City to lose.

David Icke style nonsense.
When he is fit, Stones is our best defender. Does he fake injury? Seems an unlikely way to deliver to to your owner.

I’m sorry but his ridiculous recent claims that John Stones is a rogue player fixing matches against City is 100 times bigger than any nonsense about LFC spies in the City camp.

Has he given a dossier to City about Stones ?
The guy is a crank
He is, but he’s also provided a landing strip for anyone with info to share, some of the other stuff may just be sensationalist to draw people in

From the trollograph….some prick called alan tyers….

‘Pannick on the streets of London’, read the banner at Manchester City; a pretty good joke that repoints a lyric from The Smiths to pay tribute to Lord Pannick, who will be representing the club vs the Premier League as they do battle against allegations that they have breached its financial rules.

Time was when fan banners lauded goalscorers and midfield generals and it’s not hard to see why some people find it a bit ridiculous that football fans are lionising a man whose career path into City’s affections was less “youth team and then a loan move to Girona before breaking into the Carabao Cup squad” and more “Hertford College Oxford, called to the Bar, and then appointed a crossbench peer in the House of Lords”. But we are where we are and given that City's solitary acquisition in the January transfer window was 20-year-old Maximo Perrone for the chump-change sum of eight million quid, you can understand why the faithful are desperate to welcome a new hero.

A hard-tackling but cultured legal mind equally adept on the left or the right, Panno – as he is surely known to the lads in the City dressing room – has had previous spells with the Sunday Times in the Spycatcher case, representing kink-shamed fash scion Max Mosley in the European Court of Human Rights, and more recently an appearance on behalf of Isis banter queen Shamima Begum in the Supreme Court.
Again i say who?

These no mark names keep popping up and again i've never heard of them.

He must be on the spectrum writing such drivvle for that shower of shite.

Shows how low the bar goes now, I can remember him being pretty shite most of the time.

To be fair the bar is pretty low I've never known such an incompetent ( Bent ) bunch of officials as now. Indeed I'm struggling to think of one decent one and that's even with all the technology they have to help them nowadays.
I'm convinced a directive has gone out to level up the competition by hindering us with garbage officiating in our games. They have to be careful on controversial big calls, at least I thought they did before the Rashford goal, but by God they can allow a team to spoil a game like Everton did recently. Also how long did it take them to sort out the linesman's microphone? The richest league in the world doesn't have a few spare sets floating about, or can't be wired up so everyone can see and hear the conversations on var decisions? Yeah right.
