The first two rumours came from City fans.

Relax lads, I’m just saying that I’m not as confident as I was a few months ago. Who knows what will happen. I know that it’s all rumour.

It appears on here if you aren’t 100% confident that we’re going to be found not guilty of all charges and singing off that hymn sheet, that you get shouted off the place.

1 - if I’m pessimistic (naturally) it isn’t going to affect the outcome
2 - I just hope we all aren’t being over confident and setting ourselves up for a big shock

Also, don’t believe some of the nonsense so called ‘in the knows’ post, otherwise we’d have signed Isco, Ronaldo, Sanchez and many more.
You can be as confident as you once was, we’re going to win the 115 (130), take a hit on a fine for failure to cooperate and then we’re going to dominate more than we have dominated over the past 10 years.

This is an amazing post, forgive my ignorance but who are you? Or if you are anonymous what is your background?

I'm a nobody with some relevant accounting experience who listens to anyone who knows what they are talking about. Of course I may misunderstand what they are talking about and so the post may be complete bollocks, but I am happy to share my thoughts if it helps others be more comfortable with what is happening.

That's actually quite interesting, although I doubt Herbert will understand why.

Clearly some of it is just simple journalistic and uninformed nonsense but, assuming he actually did hear that the panel looked at the mind-boggling complexity of the AD sponsorships (which isn't news, btw, as it was already exposed in the APT case, for Etihad at least) and if his source is using that as an indication that City may have been using complex contracts to get around FFP (rather than, say, oh I don't know, the much more serious allegation that Mansour paid the sponsorship himself) then that may be an indication that the PL's allegations over funding sponsorships failed, and their attention was instead drawn to the related party nature of the deals and their fair value as we discussed a while ago.

That is an important shift in tone imho from very serious legal fraud issues to less serious and more esoteric accounting issues and is a good one for people looking for "signs".

Of course, it may be that I, Herbert or both are all talking just plain bollocks, but I reckon this may be the first indication that the PL actually struggled with its more serious allegations as we always thought they would.
