PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Wonder how long it will take for FFP rules, relating to owner/ related party investment to change.
Quickly mate , the Qataris ruled roughshod over EUFA with the PSG ownership , so you can bet yourself a pound to a pinch of shit that Uniteds owners will follow - it’s going to be lauded as good for football , even today in the DM they said it’s good for inner city investment in Manchester City council , I replied in the comment page it’s actually Trafford Borough Council they reside under. Make no mistake , the pro United takeover are already writing there column inches about how “great” it is when it’s a Qatari investment buying them , and ratboy will already be trying to dig himself from the human rights campaign.

@franksinatra - come on, have you seen the state of the City reporting in the DM, in comparison to other clubs? The Media thread is full of their cheap shots, lies and innuendo. Their hatred of our club is beyond question.

Take no notice of the attention seeking wanker, he`ll argue black is white.

It will be the same people funding the United takeover if it happens, is my guess.

And the cynic in me thinks that Forbes article from a few pages back will be the first of a few presenting a different narrative around Middle Eastern ownership. Preparing the ground, as it were.

I don't understand what the problem is? If posters here educate us all on FFP and the charges etc, don't you also want journalists to be educated?

Like I said, not every journalist at the mail is against City. Tolmie has mentioned that Jack Gaughan is included in some of the briefs by the club.

It's just as likely that, if @Dodge interacts with them, the article would be a "blinkered crackpot City fans" hit-piece rather than an exposé. He is right, imo, to stay well away from whoever contacts him from the press.

That shows them up for what they are

The MEN think it’s okay to leave comments like this up.
Should be brought to book over that ...pure hate mail and racist.
Disgusting.
Call them out!!!

The fact you’ve read them should tell you why they publish them.

Yes I would take your point if I regularly read then. But it was more saw a couple of comments, amazed at the hatred that consumes some people towards others and then never bothered to visit the comments section again. Rather than being a regular consumer of such content.

Its a sad reflection on how some people behave on the internet. Full of hatred towards others. I can only think people who behave in such a way have some deep seated unhappiness in their life, if that is how they choose to spend their time.

Jack Gaughan is one of City's go to journalists. He's pretty fair with us and writes decent articles.

Correct. As far as those who can be trusted or get steers.

The pool is very small.

Jack G, Martin Blackburn, Phil Thomas and Simon Mullock

Two are Blues, one is a red and another is a Blackburn fan.

All are top journos.

Outside the local patch, the higher ups do brief Ornstein, which doesn't sit well with me and I'm sure doesn't with those other lads.

Why would you not wish to share what you can mate?

It seems Jack has done both you and Ric the proper courtesy?

You posted the info in the public domain and has been shared in numerous places.

If you have nothing else, then just be straight with him.

Whilst I agree the Mail are a joke when it comes to reporting the positive about anything City, the info you posted wouldn't be ignored by any title, such are the explosive connotations of it being right.

Martin Samuel worked for the Mail. I've worked for them all, all are questionable, but try not to confuse that with some good City journalists always trying to do their jobs.

Personally, I don't think it is, as City would not sit on something or be complicit in keeping it quiet.

Thanks for that info S. however what influence do you think their employers have on even their fairness?
The suspicion is that the opinions of the editor should be followed and they are forced to choose between proper honest reporting and skewed opinion of the media who employ them.
In other words job or no job.
