All sounds very familiar as a tactic to be honest. The narrative is set each and every time that a report on our struggles with UEFA/PL comes out. UEFA found us guilty but we wouldn't just lie down and take our punishment like we should. There is never any mention of why CAS threw out the charges (other than to say some were time-barred indicating we got off an a technicality) or that the hacked e-mails that most of UEFA's case were based on had included one that was doctored and others taken out of context. They never mention that UEFA were admonished by CAS for even letting it get as far as it did before overturning the ban. No mention of why the non-cooperation fine was levied with the chambers at UEFA leaking everything to their mates in the press. No mention of the "body of irrefutable evidence" that we supplied just being ignored amid reports of it not even being read by Leterme and his cronies.
Oh no, so far as the general fan in the street is concerned we've been painted as the big bad as that is all they see in the media that they consume. Not one so called independent or unbiased journalists will ever look at things from our point of view. We're winning everything therefore we must be guilty.
Hopefully the outcome will be no different this time around and as long as this investigative panel is truly impartial then that's how it should be. Not that it will matter to the masses who will be told that we bought better lawyers with our vast resources that the other side couldn't compete with.
It's mad how widespread the idea that this is "sports washing" has become. Like the Middle East are blowing billions of £s so some drunk blokes in a mid-sized north European provincial city known for early industrialism, night clubs and guitar music stand up for them. It's an investment, it was always an investment, they're just not investing now to take out money next week, they're investing now for 25 - 100 year returns. The fact that East Manchester has a load of empty space for property and leisure investment for some healthy shorter term returns just sweetens the deal. We can be critical of that, but I wish we were critical of it in its own terms. They literally don't give a shit what the world thinks about their organisation of power or war with Yemen.Sheik Mansour is an investor by trade and inclination. Correct in fact they targeted the Investment Phase of the business plan knowing full well that their cash cow clubs would be out of their league should the plan get to maturity.Sheik Mansour is an investor by trade and inclination. Too machiavellian for me. I think the PL just reacted to pressure from the redshirts and also from the pending announcement of a regulator.I read comments somewhere from an opposition fan, basically replying to Blues that were saying the allegations were rushed and the PL's hand was forced by the red-top cartel... his reply was "why would the PL do that... as it would be damaging to their reputation"!
This got me thinking... we all know the PL was created by the cartel, with a couple of hangers-on, and that very cartel has been pulling the strings of the PL ever since... vetting chairmen etc... so could it possibly be that the PL have finally had enough and want the influence these snakes have, eradicated for good!?
If we blow these charges out of the water, the fall-out might mean a restructure that would allow them to get rid of that influence.
Or maybe the other side of the coin is the red top cartel are done with the PL and want to paint it as an anti competitive vehicle for Abu Dhabi projects that they can do nothing about despite knowing we’re wrong ‘uns?I read comments somewhere from an opposition fan, basically replying to Blues that were saying the allegations were rushed and the PL's hand was forced by the red-top cartel... his reply was "why would the PL do that... as it would be damaging to their reputation"!

Could I just take a moment to congratulate you on the first ever use of the word "Perspicacity" on a football forum.Sheik Mansour is an investor by trade and inclination. I think this was the over-riding factor that got the skunks at the PL shifting their arses. Nothing like having to hand over some control to an outside body and be accountable for your actions - or inactions!Too machiavellian for me.
