I was also at that game, the first of the 97-98 season, both were there and both continued to support us through the shit years. Now Noel may have told his kids to support Arsenal which is a reasonable shout if you are 200 miles from Manchester and we were pretty shit at the time.I was at the game I'm sure they both turned up. Liam walked towards the Portsmouth fans eating grass and giving it the come on gestures which drove them mad lol.
I don't mind either. Liam unsettles the luvvies with his edgy unpredictable style and Noel now is a luvvie and runs rings around them. At least they do fight our corner on social media and TV. One thing that annoyed me slightly, like a lot of our rich celebrity fans, is none of them would invest. Their money their choice I guess.
