PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I might be a bit dumb and naive here , but City’s statement against the allegations said “irrefutable evidence”. One quick google of the Oxford dictionary states what it means. Now either the club are dumb , or I am , but I just can’t see the club coming out with that unless they are 100% confident.

The Mancini consultancy deal with the club in Abu Dhabi happened four years before FFP rules came in for the PL and before he joined City.
I would imagine that not declaring it would be a charge on its own, there were rules in place before FFP. I must admit I didn’t know it happened before Mancini joined us, they certainly like to plan their managerial appointments in advance.

You’d like to think so, but we’re dealing with a set of cnuts, who set a ‘fuck you’ tone to proceedings by briefing Ziegler and Co that we were facing 115 charges rather than 5, and who in turn are in thrall to another set of cnuts. And when there’s cnuts about, expect cnutiness
I keep going back to the club statement- irrefutable evidence.

Fuckin joke isn't it.
The premier league are doing nothing and the media coverage is non existent.
Same when they were investigated by HMRC, not a fucking peep.
I read it on here and that’s the only reason I knew about it.
Yet we get coverage all over social media, YouTube, the papers and every news channel going.
Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a carrier pigeon on its way to somewhere to tell someone City are cheats.
Anyone who says we’re not treated differently are living in fucking cloud cuckoo land.

I honestly think it was an attempt to boost the perceived value of the two red scums for any potential sales.
Well it failed on the scouse front , and I’ll bet the delay with United is the rumoured HMRC discrepancy, either that , or scruffy Jim is having a whip-round in the crown and cushion in Failsworth.

I can guess what's happened over the last few years. The cartel clubs were hanging their hats on us getting a ban from UEFA, at which point the PL would also presumably have charged us. The PL claimed to be investigating in 2018 but probably did fuck all of any note. Once the UEFA case was chucked out by CAS, Plan B went into operation, which involved the PL starting to dig around.

They could only go on the stuff that Der Spiegel published but the Etihad stuff was probably off the table. All they really had was the time-barred stuff, Mancini's contract and Fordham, which UEFA knew about a few years earlier but having spoken to us weren't seemingly too bothered about.

So they've got some bits and pieces, but they're pretty weak and I suspect the PL legal advisors have told them this. But Masters has a problem, as the cartel clubs are on his back. For a while it looks like Arsenal are going to win the league and it looks less obvious than bringing charges when we're ahead. So after we lose to Spurs, urged on by Levy on behalf of the cartel clubs, they insist on sticking the boot in. Masters, like Ceferin before him, really doesn't want to do this but he's under pressure. So his way out is to agree to bring charges he knows have little or no hope of success.
And we’ve not lost since.
So, not quite the effect they were undoubtedly hoping for.……

If you stop and think about this, this was never intended to run the full course and get points deducted or us thrown out of the league, the ramifications are so complicated and self destructive towards the PL

I suspect it was an attempt to tarnish and diminish the clubs achievements', just a huge smear against the club pushed by the usal and I guess unusual suspects

This. Throw the dirt knowing the media will make it stick with tribal clubs and fans and hope it throws us off our form and maybe even lose players or Pep over it.

Shame it’s had the complete opposite effect eh lol.

This never see the courts because it will bring the PL down with it.
