PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Very clearly and concisely put.
I don't want to see the end of the P/L over this though as I think that would create more questions imo, going back to the formation of the league.
I would like the P/L to confirm who was behind the scheme to bring the accusations against City and issue a full and frank apology for doing so. (I think the P/L is unlikely to do this!)
The libellous media need to be held accountable too. (Major apologies all round!)
City are entitled to an explanation.

apologies guys, but has something happened in the last few days regarding the investigation? has there been an update or something? i havent read anything new in the papers??? thanks

£300m in prize money
€70m new sleeve deal
£150m sales
£ money still owed

Go & spend the fucking lot especially after reports City will break £700m turnover

Chelsea again giving out 8 year deals yesterday before the new 5 year deal only kicked in today, what they have done & still doing + selling made up prices to Saudi teams for players is exactly what the Prrmier League should be investigating not something supposed to happen back in 2011 or some bullshit YouTube video

Sell Mahrez, Laporte & Phillips then go & smash £300m on Gvardiol, Veiga, Coman, FDJ
Bring back Fernandinio & 1 other for coach

Really don’t get this objection to the 8 year deals, I can see the advantage to Chelsea of them and numerous disadvantages.

If they choose to do it, then why change the rules just because some clubs say we have always done it this way.

People should be allowed to run their business as they wish and just by Chelsea going first, highlights and gives the opportunity to other clubs.

Specifically clubs who want to spend a lot very quickly to get in top 4.

That change is just another one designed to stop short term investment.

bare with me.

on the ukraine v russian thread there is a picture of a map , on the map is a town called bakhmut , the russians did everything to capture bakhmut and it is symbolised as a shark surrounding bakhmut, however with the focus by the russians to capture bakhmut what the ukrainians did was encircle the russian shark

this is whats happening to the old g14 clubs, they are that focused on killing city and any other team wanting to invest that they are getting themselves encircled with their own rules, we are seeing "the biggest club in the world) limited this year with ffp , the are fucking themselves up whilst we are going along keeping to their new and ever changing rules

thanks @SPIDERBOY

Those der spiegel articles and leaked emails. Once they were out, Uefa reacted by opening their investigation. As soon as they did, the PL opened their own investigation as well.

I honestly thought once CAS closed that episode, the PL would follow suit and use that. It would have been quite easy for them to close it out and claim, consistent with the CAS findings, they conclude the same.

But they didn't, they took another 2.5 years, investigating books right back to 2009 before even uefa's ffp came about. Which is why I don't buy this they are only doung it to appease pressure. I'm sure there IS pressure, and they are trying to appease it. But if that was all, they could have fallen in line with the CAS findings and closed it and still been able to say they tried.

Re doing it in reverse as you mention, I don't think pressure alone is enough. There has to be a big enough public thing to make them have to be seen to act. I.e You can't just request they look into a club for a laugh. Unfortunately, ours was thatnder spiegel leaks which clained to have actual evidence of wrongdoing and put it out in public.

I find it hard to believe that both UEFA and the pl took this action on stolen, cut and paste emails.
Like you say once CAS cleared City common sense would say the pl would drop the charges.

So if I am correct, if de Spiegel did the same cut and paste on stole stolen emails from say liverpool and utd. Both clubs would be interested as hard as City, including its bank in the Carmen Islands.

But as both utd and liverpool vetted the pl chairman I guess they wouldnt.

I don't think there's any doubt on that, the timing and sheer amount of regurgitated crap is telling and will continue as long as the window is open. They're desperately hoping it will put doubt into players heads.
The poison is coming from our commercial rivals and some dishonest people in the media are happy to play along. It’s a deflection tactic from United to take attention away from their shambolic sell off.

Pretty certain the dick who told you is incorrect fella. I don’t believe PL don’t have the powers to sanction a transfer ban.

That would fall under FIFA’s remit & as far as I’m aware. Fifa aren’t involved in this process, so I really don’t see how a transfer ban is a possibility?

On top of that, the only teams which have previously been given a transfer ban, have been banned for transfer irregularities, which I don’t think any of our 115 charges relate to
The PL do have the ability to ask FIFA to back a worldwide transfer ban I think, not that that is going to happen mind.

about the sell off, united's stocks are supposedly worth twice as much now than before the "takeover" lots of people are making a killing(i'm sure the glazers are)so i reckon this "takeover" saga will go on for a bit longer

The first sentence, they did, that is a matter of fact. Both the statements when openign the investigation said so. Agree, common sense would have seen the PL come to the same conclusion once the cas verdict went public.

I don't remember any accusations on other PL clubs in der Spiegel or if there were certsinly not anywhere as big.

I am not really sure what point you are trying to make though. It would take something big and public to urge uefa or the PL to investigate other clubs.
