PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

When's the divorce date?

Regards the YT vid: Getting pissed off with this.

:) Can't afford another divorce. And she has other offsetting attributes.

About the video, I am sure the club knows who is behind it and how.

I am more interested in why now? Thoughts?

We’ve got them where we want them, I’m not sure , that they know what they’re dealing with. This club marches on regardless, dare i say it , but they will soon need us before we need them , we do four in a row , or win the CL at Wembley then they are smashed , utterly fucking broken in to small pieces , a really big big season coming up for this club.Us as fans can’t rest on our laurels , we smash this next season then it’s game set and fucking match. I want more , I’ve gorged on last season , draw a line and smash every record this country has ever seen from club football, let’s put ourselves up there with Barcelona as the greatest ever football team.
Are you sure you really are "The Mild Mannered Janitor"?

Which is why our minds are bombarded and filled with crap to prevent us from learning and expressing ourselves.
Beer and circuses.
Clearly, people like you (and, I hope me) see right through it, and are not distracted by the bread and circuses created for our distraction.

In the real real world, the Premier League doesn’t lay a glove on Mansour lest the Govt. feel the reflected wrath of such a petty, vindictive decision.

Do I like sport being treated that way? Absolutely not! However, a small handful of charges of nonsense repeated 8 times to make it some major crime? That’s even bigger bullshit than the Govt warning off the PL!

FFP is, and always has been, a literal word salad joke, a restraint of trade, and a completely fabricated “business” model that ignores good business practices in favor of allowing entrenched companies to receive outsized rewards and opportunities. It ignores basic reasoning and comprehension of both the game as it is and how the game became this way.

At the eleventh hour, simply because their Old ECA World Order was under threat, those “old” clubs sought to legislate exclusion for their own financial benefit, while ignoring the business reality of what they were trying to create.

Football is built NOT on a model of strength and sustainability, but TV revenues and the ancillary advertising revenues that TV exposure creates. Massive multinationals pay billions to advertise before, during and after games, the TV companies and the Leagues gladly accept those dollars, and the showcase continues to pump billions of dollars around in that circle…
Multinational -> UEFA/PL -> Club

The biggest flaw in the system is that the multinationals control the whole thing and without them it doesn’t exist. They only do it because the eyes that are willing to watch it create the revenue that helps everyone make money.

Create a system where you spoil the spectacle, either by extension far beyond the exceptional teams that create the exceptional product, or simple corruption of the product in how you decide who will and will not participate, and the Golden Goose stops laying its Golden Eggs and the whole system collapses due to lack of ad revenue.

We have all seen what “bigger, better, more” has created, but dare not imagine the reversal of fortune, both literally and figuratively.

Ironically, City are probably the team best suited for survival in such a world: No debt, deep pocketed global investors, and a global club system that has the ability to continue to run solely on local revenues in all places EXCEPT Manchester. Even then, we have none of the debt service problems of others, which means long-term sustainability is not only easier, but in an “outrun the bear” model, we are streets ahead of the slowest runners in the pack!

I’ve said a lot recently that United thought they’d put a full stop on football when they won their treble in 1999, like it was the ultimate achievement in the sport, it would never be achieved again and never be bettered.

But it isn’t the ultimate achievement because there are more trophies to win than just three and for me there’s more to strive for than just the treble.

I want to pale their achievements into insignificance and win everything. They thought 1999 was the pinnacle of the game but I want to really show them what the pinnacle is.

Fuck the cunts. They’ve brought this on themselves. We spent half of football being pally with them and doing them favours, and all we’ve got in return is that banner and them trying to take us down.

To understand why we need to understand what it does & who it benefits.

It’s not for commercial or artistic, it’s anonymous so the maker isn’t after credit. It’s factually inaccurate so who benefits from the perception that City are cheating prior to a hearing when you’d imagine the truth will be available.

Fantastic post, puts everything into perspective.

Talkshite. A safe haven for fuckwits! Discuss...
Giving the one and only possible answer in the title isn't how these "discuss..." threads work bud.

Although now that I've checked, there are no other replies so perhaps you do understand the concept.

All true, but why now?

They had six months to prepare something like that, two years in fact.

If they wanted maximum negative publicity to the club, it would have been released in the last two weeks of the season. What is happening now, in the summer break, that warrants the release of that video?

You have written many incisive posts much of which I concur with and despite the odd vitriol from those that should know better this is another one of them CB. I am pleased that you pay nought homage to them and continue the discussion.
