PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We’ve got them where we want them, I’m not sure , that they know what they’re dealing with. This club marches on regardless, dare i say it , but they will soon need us before we need them , we do four in a row , or win the CL at Wembley then they are smashed , utterly fucking broken in to small pieces , a really big big season coming up for this club.Us as fans can’t rest on our laurels , we smash this next season then it’s game set and fucking match. I want more , I’ve gorged on last season , draw a line and smash every record this country has ever seen from club football, let’s put ourselves up there with Barcelona as the greatest ever football team.
Absolutely.
We must maintain the us against them togetherness. The more they accuse the harder we play and support as fans.
They have accidentally fuelled our our best form and reignited the fans into an explosion that even RM saw the Etihad as intimidating.

Well done everyone keep it going.

This is so boring now
The premier league have put all these charges (115) in place to cover the odds
They just want to win a few token ones even if it’s non cooperation
all the other stories are just rehashing the same old shite
And all these fans who think we are cheats (only seems to be the big 6 who are arsed) have no clue, they think we are facing new charges when it’s part of the same shit they have been talking about anyway
The truth is
1 we’re better than then and they don’t like it
2 it’s our money
It’s just accountancy, not bribing match officials (Barca) or match fixing (juventus) or hacking (dippers)

All true, but why now?

They had six months to prepare something like that, two years in fact.

If they wanted maximum negative publicity to the club, it would have been released in the last two weeks of the season. What is happening now, in the summer break, that warrants the release of that video?

I’ve no idea I just think it’s to do with getting people on side with the ESL.

Has it ever been explained why they hacked Simon Pearces non MCFC email account? On the face of it correspondence between him and a commercial airline wouldn't seem very footyleaks? It's easy to say with Hindsight that an investigative journalist would join dots but we're supposedly talking about one Portuguese guy who says his interest was in corruption in Portugal. There are millions of emails over a period of years, it would take a team of dozens of people to go through them over a number of months.

This whole hit piece is an unprecedented smear campaign against City.
If the case is in court, normally all parties should refrain and let the courts deal with it.
But Liverpool and United fans don't want justice. They don't care about the evidence.
Their goal is clear: remove City from the PL.
This is corruption no one seems to be calling out.
First, they backdated the rules and then seek to apply the changes retrospectively.
Next, they want one of their own to act as judge and jury while City should just accept it.
Seems like they are not confident about the outcome of their fake investigation.

They’ve put their own video on YouTube. It’s an hour long so can’t be arsed watching it. Hatchet job on CAS from what I can see.

Apologies if this has already been posted and discussed or if this is the one people are already talking about.

The fact that they've used Nick Harris, Tariq Panja AND Tebas in the same video is equal parts amusing and infuriating. They must have been so happy someone wanted them to talk about their favourite subject and allow them to pose as experts(Nick Harris especially). Delaney and Rob Harris must be fuming they didn't get asked for input.

Why don't we all down vote it AND report it for misinformation while we are at it? Though it would probably require going through it bit by bit because its a: timestamp - explanation system.

Example(a petty one but just to get the point across):
Timestamp 4:23

Explanation:
It says in 40 years they never won a major trophy. This is incorrect. The 1976 League Cup was City's last major honour before the 2011 FA Cup was won under the new ownership. That's 35 years.

People keep saying this without understanding the accounting and FFP issues, so you aren't understanding it correctly.

Yes we could hypothetically borrow £1bn from Sheikh Mansour, interest free, at a low rate or even at a commercial rate. But that goes into the balance sheet as a liability, with the cash going into the balance sheet as an asset. That's the double entry.

But FFP doesn't look at the balance sheet so there's no issue there. If we then used some of that money to spend £250m on players, then the balance sheet entries reduce cash by £250m and increase intangible assets (player contracts) by £250m. Again, that just impacts the balance sheet, with no impact on FFP.

However, we then have to amortise those players, which appears in the P&L account. That would amount to £50m a year over 5 years. That's an expense, not a balance sheet item, and impacts our profit or loss. And then there's the wages of course, plus interest on the loan. Let's say those are £100m a year. So we'll have added £150m to our expenses.

That's OK if we have enough revenue from the three normal revenue streams -TV, Commercial and Matchday - to cover this additional expense (plus all our other expenses) without breaching FFP, and loans are NOT revenue.

In summary, we can borrow as much money as we like, but our expenses still have to be commensurate with our revenue.
If we take out a Billion £ loan with an negative interest rate, then you could add the interest receivable to revenue for FFP.
That really would boil some piss lol!
