PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Feels very different to the UEFA & CAS witch-hunt.
That was bad enough for the 9 months(?) it went on.
This feels like it will be over in the summer.

I Feel like when we signed up to the ESL… the end of how I interact with ‘city’… depressingly bad day

City will appeal this and it'll drag on even further. If proved, worst case scenario is a points deduction (probably 15 or 18) and a massive fine. Anyway, we've obviously been cooking the books for years regardless of how this case ends up. There's no way we're the most valuable club in the world or whatever it is we claim we are.
Deloittes and Forbes put their lists together. We don't claim anything. We just file our annual accounts - we've no idea where that places us on anybody's list.

Someone said before is that why we’ve been poor and I thought absolute rubbish, then it got me thinking it could be linked. If pep and the players knew then it would make some sense. It would explain why pep said we’ve won enough domestically, hinting a focus on the CL knowing that can’t be stripped as we took uefa to the cleaners. Just a thought but it’s come at the worst timing possible, took them 4 years and decide to release it at the business end of a season. Nice one

If the allegations of paying people off the books are true, the external auditors would have nothing to do with it. If the books say Yaya was paid x and he was paid x by City and y by some other entity connected to ADUG, the auditors are only concerned with what's on City's books.

The alleged breaches are Premier League rules, not laws.
yes guilty or not this should be a interesting case to follow. I am sure getting a second payment associated with a business entity is nothing new in business. this kind of corruption happens all over. I am convinced the likes of Ronaldo and Messi get paid by outside associations. But there is nothing in the Law against it. plain old business corruption happening everywhere. but I am not sure how PL can make a case when it cannot be proven in law that these payments are connected to exclusively playing and kicking a ball in a football match. especially when we are sure to take them to court over it. should be interesting days ahead for sure.

I do wonder why we’re the club being concentrated on. I can only assume some of the dodgy dealings - that no doubt have happened at other clubs (fuck me, look at Chelsea now!) and no doubt inside the FA over the years - are being investigated too?

Are they fuck.

The mad thing is IF proven to be true, it’s the end of absolutely everyone high up at the club, including Sheikh Mansour. Club would be up for sale. Over 100 charges, Jesus Christ it does feel like we’re fucked.
