PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Jan 1891.

A letter from Ardwick manager Lawrence Furniss protesting against the League's boycott of the club:

"The fact is, that the clubs that now comprise the English League have secured their positions by advantages which they now seek to deny to others."

Sound familiar?

Plus ca change….

I get the impression that it's coming to head and we've won.

I thought there had been something previously about having named directors/owners rather than e.g. PIF.

I'm not sure how they would word something to 'block nation state ownership", whatever that means. How close to the state leadership would an owning body have to be to count?

I notice that one of the authors appears to be a fairly partisan Manchester United fan, and the other follows the likes of Nick Harris, Miguel Delaney and Tariq Panja on Twitter. Not saying that they’re not necessarily impartial, of course.
Quite a few on this forum follow the Delaneys etc. opinions so maybe collecting all opinions for and against is part of the project and maybe his conclusions?

We hope that the Panel selected by our accusers will be independent by not risking their professional careers with biased Judgement but who knows?

Plumley has written a book with his sheffield hallam colleague Dr Rob Wilson. Wilson was quoted in the original Der Spiegel leaks and is often "rent a quote" for the likes of Delaney.
Stuart Brennan did a story based on my uncovering of UEFA's moving of the goalposts back in 2013 and he went to Rob Wilson to get his views. Rob was pretty supportive, and is usually objective, so I don't have a problem with him.
