PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Jan 1891.

A letter from Ardwick manager Lawrence Furniss protesting against the League's boycott of the club:

"The fact is, that the clubs that now comprise the English League have secured their positions by advantages which they now seek to deny to others."

Sound familiar?

The only new element appears to be the suggestion that the PL will not be able to get away with accusing us of non-co-operation and allowing the smear to carry because the charges are too serious and have to be proven. That’s good news if true. The Pl can’t continue to hide behind a complicit media.
You do have to wonder what the end game is for the premier? Do they want ffp to go away due to it starting to hit the red clubs? Using city as a weapon for ffp destruction? Or simply are they asking a question and will be happy with any independent outcome to be done with it or are they just doing some powerful clubs bidding?

The case against us seems very hard to prove with the high threshold. It’s doomed to fail.

How can the reputation and future of an old English footballing institution be decided by a 3 man panel? The magnitude of the decision is a club out of business potentially. Our image has already been dragged through the dirt.

As we have seen recently with Barca, Chelsea and others that most clubs if not all are up to no good in some shape or form.

City got too big, too successful.

Imo it ends with ffp being watered down to a non entity. So when the next club that is badly managed goes bust they can blame city all over again.

The premier does not and cannot demand evidence from a sponsor. They just don’t have the legal scope. Once city did not offer the info willingly they threw a hissy.

The easy out is ffp goes bye bye in it’s current form and the cartel can try to come at us again in a new version.

Khaldoon don’t look like a man that is about to go down…

FFP it seems is holding back the teams it was brought in to protect.
While the well run clubs, us for one are flourishing.
FFP is doomed.
Maybe this is the last throw of the dice before it all comes crashing down.
The elite clubs are drowning, Saudi are spending the king's ransom.
It's only a matter of time before it's gone, watered down at the very least.
Maybe some of the hateful 8 already know this.
United failing FFP, Chelsea spending huge amounts which are guaranteed to fail FFP.
Even Arsenal are spending big.
All the while we keep on winning and growing more successful on and off the pitch.

It's a shame that people who do these still don't know the reason why we ended our cooperation of the 'confidential' investigation by UEFA and felt justified in doing so. UEFA's investigation into the leaks still hasn't started I believe.
They have no intention of investigating. They know who the leaker was and so do we.
He now holds a prominent position in English football.
