PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

'Activist' who wishes to be nameless. Something fishy
“For the avoidance of doubt, we make no allegations as to any particular conduct of Sheikh Mansour."

So what are they skriking about then?!

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, we kid ourselves that the world unites around Ukraine, it doesn't. There are pro Ukraine countries and pro Russian countries, but most people live in countries that maintain a quiet indifference and the UAE is one of them, as far as they're concerned they don't have a dog in the race.

This is going nowhere.
Even if there's any truth in this, there's also the possibility that we know all about it but don't have an issue with it as we're getting information about any movement of assets. It's a well-trodden path in government/intelligence circles.

I agree, besides I've never got my head around the legality of seizing these assets, this country is not at war with Russia, it all seems a bit dubious to me, but I lose no sleep over robber barons being fleeced.

As you say diplomacy is not all carrot and stick, keeping our counsel and a discreet eye on the bigger picture is often the better play.

So we arent state owned now?

Regardless, thats really not good if any truth to it

FFS. I hate it when Blues, of all people, say "it's not good if that is true". The first 10 pages of this thread is full of it, some from people who should know better.

A "Ukrainian" "activist" who wants to remain "anonymous" and a government who clearly are moving slowly even considering it. I am guessing it's the same nothing-burger it was 6 months ago before the government did nothing.
