PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Will be honest, this has come totally out of the blue and I am a little worried. The club statement instills some confidence, but to counter that what chance do we have of a fair hearing when an Arsenal fan is chairing the proceedings. We all know the PL is bent and will do anything to help the Rags and the Dippers. At least the club will have the best lawyers to fight this, but nevertheless worrying times.

Be careful Saddleworth these two are chums and will report you if you call them out.
No, I’ve been on and off Bluemoon since 2004 and got thread banned/banned for far less than the abuse you was posting before. Level playing field is why I reported you, yet you’re still here so that playing field is far from level. I don’t know that poster, nor seen them post before today. I just didn’t like everyone ganging up on them for saying IF we was guilty. That’s why I asked if there was previous because the numerous people who jumped on them, for a normal post was quite shocking. I’m sure I’ll be a rag as well now for calling out bullying

A couple of questions...

IF they had something on us from 2009 ( or slightly more recently even), then why have they waited a decade for this?

Has any new 'evidence' miraculously appeared?

If not and they've had evidence of our wrongdoing for a long time, wouldn't they be duty bound to do something about it at the time rather than just carry on as if nothing was going on? Firstly to protect other clubs and secondly so we could address anything we were doing wrong and correct ourselves?

They are using us to show to the government that the league doesn't need an 'independent regulator.' It's just coincidental that on the same day they brought these charges the government has shelved its report until a later date.
