In light of today's hand-wringing and bed-wetting, I thought it might be worth posting Kieran Maguire's comments on our case from last month.

Maguire is a chartered accountant and pre-eminent football finance expert.

"Senior sources tell me City are very, very relaxed about the charges. They feel they have not done anything wrong, that many of the charges are quite trivial and the numbers involved are actually quite low"

To be frank, I consider his view somewhat more valuable than that of Stan Collymore, Simon Jordan, and the lobotomised posters of RAWK.

I know we do as it stands but what if the government decides it’s having one and tuff shit?
The government could make things very tricky for the PL if they choose to dig their heals in.
No independent regulator - no police at the games is one easy option.
No idea if it could happen, just wondering if possible.

They need to be licensed to hold a public event, they could simply revoke all licenses. They're not likely to but it is a big stick to hold.

Heard an Everton fan on talkshite before saying that if we've been sanctioned to a 10 point deduction then City should be relegated to the conference for what they have done. Firstly I thought how does he know what weve done and is the allegation even true then I thought what a twat.

I truly believe the rags brown enveloped all the authorities, other clubs and the refs for years but they were never found guilty. I won't have it any other way. I also believe they, along with the other red shirts and some European clubs are conspiring to stitch us up and have been since we became a viable threat to them. From what the so called ‘experts’ in the media have said I would’ve thought relegation would be off the table.
Though I still wouldn’t trust the cunts.
A 40+ point deduction still wouldn’t see us relegated : )
We’ll see what happens with regards Everton in terms of suing etc..
The big difference here is Everton are guilty by their own evidence ours needs a high level of proof that will be much harder to prove.

Amazing how since 3.00pm all ouro rival fans have become FFP and financial experts as expected ! There is however a main difference in the two cases, one Everton accounts showed they broke the rules and they admitted this and 2, were judged to have tried to load more debt on to the new stadium this was disproved so in fact they were also guilty of false accounting ! City have constantly stated they have not committed any wrong doing and have irrefutable evidence to back this up so the commission will have to prove this to be not the case and this could take years of searching through accounts and still find nothing ! This is way nothing is coming out about are case and the so called in.the know jurnos and financial experts know absolutely nothing ! Do you not think that if anything had leaked about us being likely to be charged in the near future the haters wouldnt be all over it ? They know nothing.
