PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We know the PL wont investigate Spurs, Liverpool or United even if there are legitimate grounds to do so. I think that is the point some of us are driving at(and maybe City are too if it is true they've been apply pressure). Haven't they been using the same tactics to take shots at City over Everton's case for the past 5 days or so?

It should raise questions on the PL's integrity/competency if there is case to claim double standards/special treatment though. That isn't whataboutery... It's whatthefuck PL?

Soon the cartel’s evil ways will find them out and the delectable smell of US hedges burning to the ground will fill the air.

We just need to wait for the ESL legal case to complete next month and, assuming it is to UEFAs advanatage, this charade will be closed out.

The US hedges won't exactly be burnt to the ground but they will be with us and not against us. The owners that is and not the clubs and fans. Tribal rivalries are good for the £££.

Billionaires doing billionaire things. The redshirts have had their fun but they've turned. The threat to the PL with all this shit and the subsequent threat to PL ££ if it continues is too much for them to bear. Then, of course, is the threat of a sovereign as a REAL enemy in the boardrooms. That's where they risk being burnt to the ground and why they are playing ball now albeit with a bit of quid pro quo with Liverpool

As I said yesterday, it's hard to get your head round us being onside with Liverpool. But it is only for the purpose of moving this forward and it's good to have a rival on the pitch!

Chelsea/Arsenal already done - we have too much influence at both clubs.

United - City wanted Ratcliffe not Qatar. City have influence with Raine who were broking the deal. And Mubadala have joint ventures with Ineos.

Spurs - no one gives a shit. They will just hold on to the shirt tails.

We, (City as a club) are in favour of the Independent Regulator, it’s the other wankers that don’t want transparency, they want the stays quo of their influence over the PL to remain.
Not sure if that influence has waned significantly after the super league threat. Steve parish of Palace seemed to be indicating it had recently.

The hacking story is such a non story. It is super historic, we ourselves settled for pennies, it went nowhere. It is done and dusted.
Maybe it needs looked at again, now the league have set a precedent over alleged time barred behaviour? It no doubt gained Liverpool an unfair sporting advantage. The payment was not legit and off the books akin to the defoe charge for unlicensed agents.

The premier league rules have been broken allegedly.

Some of the city charges go back before ffp was introduced.

More To do with how clubs in the Premier are treated differently! Say it was us who did the hacking do you think it would all of been done on the quiet?

Let’s hope so but the Premier League have stated publicly they can run their own operation without outside interference. One of the Independent Regulators aims was to filter revenue down the leagues, something that Aston Villa’s Christian Purslow actually argued on the radio was not part of the thinking. As the IR gets closer to being appointed hey presto yesterday the PL discussed a £915m package to help lower leagues, they’re shitting themselves and trying to stave of the Regulator.

But some of our charges are even more 'super historic' and I believe PL gave a reason for non investigation into the hacking allegations as 'too old'.
Irrespective of the settlement, shouldn't PL investigate anyway?
We 'settled' with UEFA on a number of issues back in 2014 when we 'took the pinch'. Are the PL excluding the issues covered in the UEFA settlement?
Apples and pears maybe legally, but can you see why this not a good look particularly wrt the older charges against us.

that's my kind of thinking, they all swim in the same sea drain it and it's they all lose out, although totally different italian football has never really recovered from the various scandals that befell it, the PL is a very lucrative market and I can't see any of the major players wanting to upset the apple cart too much, it's good for banter and provides the over populated sports media with column inches, and when the league starts again it will be more or less put on the back burner, I know the Everton case brought this all to the fore but there is always a furor before we play Liverpool, I am not sure it's LfC themselves but more like their cult like fans in the media that cause it
