PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Were there any leaks from CAS?

There was loads of press nonsense, but I can’t remember anything actually from CAS. I might be wrong though. I don’t stress in this period as there’s nothing that can be done.

Parry and Gill had no ears in CAS.

The Everton case is 100% different to ours. All comparisons aren’t relevant.

There was definitely conversations between UEFA insiders & by that people who have served & represented UEFA & their trusted journalists. The New York Post was very confident with what they were hearing & their disdain turned to the UEFA prosecutor’s failing to secure the conviction.

I’d call it leaks.

It's more likely to be City than the PL, if anyone is delaying the case. City are producing mountains of evidence. The PL isn't.

The PL wanted Everton's case finalising during the 2022/23 season, and that was after they brought charges in March 2023. Totally unrealistic timescales requested by the PL, and unfair to Everton, and the commission told them so.

Given that Everton only had 9 charges to answer, and we have 115 (or 131 using a different method of counting), our case will take much longer to gather all the evidence, and much longer for it to be examined.

There is no shortcut to the process, unless the PL drop the frivolous charges and concentrate on the substantive ones.

And there you have the point. If the PL had wanted a quick resolution, they should have handled the whole process differently, rather than re-litigating the CAS issues.

But they went the 115 charge route so now everyone just has to suck it up until it's finished.

Idiots.

Between February after the original UEFA sentence and the CAS result in July?

I wouldn’t be too sure about no leaks
It does make for a good story, but since the PL investigation started and now, all we have seen is a leaked top sheet of a court showing that there was a case ongoing and then the confirmation that there are 115 charges levied against us.

Is there anything else substantive out there about this case?

Why is it that I'm feeling like there is a lot less optimism about these charges than there was 8 months ago?

Also, how can it be a breach of rules to take a club that was relegation fodder and make them one of the top two or three most profitable clubs in the world?

I just hope when Pep finally leaves (god forbid) I hope he remembers how he's been treated by the authorities and press in this country when they try to get him to manage England.
I hope he tells them where to stick it.

All the leaks came from UEFA. WE parried them away (pun intended).

When Parry worked for the dippers, Tariq Panja now of the NY Times worked for the MEN covering the NW. Parry was a major contact.
Just sayin’.
