PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If you start exploring all the options you will drive yourself crazy.

But yes, you are right, if the PL can prove the most serious charges I will also be very disappointed in the people running the club. But not because they will have done it, btw, because they will have done it in a way that they get found out.

Ask any lawyer or accountant, it would have been so easy to get around the FFP rules and make sure you don't get found out and, if you do get found out, that you can provide so many other reasonable explanations that the balance of probabilities sways in your favour.

So, if they do get caught out, it's sheer incompetence.

The people running the club have made some mistakes, but they aren't incompetent imho. Just one of the reasons I think everything will be fine.
Well in one corner, you have one a group of incredibly successful businessman who deal in multi billion pound deals with companies that span multiple industries and projects that span multiple years and continents, who have taken a football club and expanded it to one of the biggest global football enterprises the world has ever seen and that enterprise doesnt even crack the top ten of deals they have done and in the other corner you have an organisation that cant even write its own rules properly, is incapable of sending out a correct press release and has been told by a body that is wishing to oversee it that its chief exec doesnt know what he is doing, a body that is so incompetent that its current incumbent chief exec was the FOURTH choice to run it.

And yet still people continue to worry due to the drip fed nonsense of a press that is only press in name, lets be honest people they no longer exist to report the news, they exist to placate the idiot masses who need to believe what they say as its much more palpable than dealing with the truth.

I can understand people getting nervous when all of a sudden every local news outlet stating Team A awaiting city verdict stuff. As stated the panel have only just returned to work and will be no were near finalising any outcome, only themselves will have any idea which way it's gone at this stage.
The press have only jumped on what maguire and @slbsn have recently said when asked about punishment, which has always been the same throughout. Only the thick media thought we could be kicked out of leagues etc, both the experts have always stated prem league cannot dictate what division to send city to.
As stefan has always stated for the prem league to find anything on city for the most serious fraud accusations, that this is the wrong forum to achieve proving that, they will have to have some hell of smoking guns across a number of businesses and directors etc.
As @halfcenturyup pointed out, city will have to be super incompetent to leave evidence for those smoking guns out there.
My confidence has always been high on the outcome by listening to stefan and others, also the great input halfcentury has.
The crime is getting caught and I believe city are not daft enough to get caught. If they have left mega smoking guns then they deserve what they get.

I was delighted to hear of Manchester United's need to sell players, crippled by the very rules that they have sought to damage us with. I only hope of further damage wreaked upon those other clubs who have tried to do the same, while our own innocence is proven.
The effect of unintended consequences....

.....self inflicted by a cabal/cartel of clubs whose only intent was to stop City & Newcastle investing their clubs own funds into improving their clubs own prospects.......with the agreement and active support of the PL.

Their handcarts are purveying them to an unintended destination, hellish in its reality.

Gary Cooke says HI !!

What will be annoying is if they do us with the none co-operation ones even because effectively they have asked for information they are quite simply not privy too, they have no legal reason to ask for some of the things that they have, they absolutely have recourse to ask for citys accounts but if they have further asked to have a look at the books of etihad, silverlake, private accounts of private individuals etc etc then they will have rightly been told to fuck right off and then seemingly blamed city for not furnishing them with information that neither themselves not city had a right to access.

Always asked that question about someone when I was interviewing them for a job.

Would I go for a pint with them?

It wasn’t the be all and end all, but it was important to me; in terms of our professional relationship.

Subjectively, I think it can be a worthwhile test of someone’s character and personality.

So I asked the question for a reason.
Agree with your sentiment but you can also work with people that you literally hate but if they bust a gut and produce in the workplace all is good.

You often find in a dressing room there are players that hate each other, yet they go out and perform on the pitch.

Jordan has to say that to appease the red mardarses who listen to this guff. It's all in the script they read from.
They will have listeners turning of in their droves if it's all pro city.

Jordan has heard nothing, trust me, he's a pompous little prick who thinks he knows everything.
Football is a very small community, he is a mate of Levy , so will have all the access to the latest gossip if there is any.

I worked for a large IT consultancy that had a very well-defined culture, and it was important that people were a good fit for that culture. For that reason, the first part of what could be a full day of 4 or 5 different interviews was a relatively informal 45-minute chat we called 'the hotel test'.

Basically it boiled down to whether you'd feel comfortable working away from home on a client site, and staying in a hotel with them for 6 months. If you got bad vibes then you'd end the interview process there and then.

Good post but my opinion on the last bit is that there are no smoking guns full stop as I believe the club when they say they’ve done nothing wrong. At worst, I think City are only guilty of some creative accounting in the early years of FFP, and pretty much every business on the planet has done a bit of that at some point. Oh, and politely telling UEFA to get fucked when details of their case against us were leaked to the press. Neither of those are remotely worthy of a points deduction or worse.

Of course, the club could be lying to us all but as things stand I’ll believe City over the Premier League, Dickhead Masters, the red-shirt Cartel cunts, Daniel Levy, a disgracefully biased British media, RAWK, Rag Cafe, and Simon Fucking Jordan.

How come all these regional papers have the same theme all of a sudden? Surely something has been leaked?
It’s all just an organised campaign to increase the groundswell of negative opinions and attitudes towards City, across the country.

They look to be targeting areas where it’s not the usual clubs who are already our rivals, they’re reaching ever wider with it.

The more people they rope into the agenda, the less innocent we’ll be even if we’re found innocent by the panel, because public opinion will be that we’re guilty and we’ve got away with it.

"Once and for all".

Khaldoon's top,middle & bottom line !!

The verdict could be only the begining.

City may want to drain the entire swamp with or without the involvement of a regulator.

Imo, its not over yet !!

Ive said this before but jordan is bitter because he is on the outside looking in, in his head he should be sat at the table doing deals with sheikhs and successful businessman but he isnt, he is on a crappy radio station pretending to be the most intelligent guy in the room for peanuts and having the likes of eddie hearne laugh at him and stefan gently mock him and because of that he hates us and everyone that is like us, he isnt where he thinks he should be and it eats away at him every day.
