My personal opinion is that Tolmie doesn't currently have any real knowledge of the inside workings of City at all, and he drops hints for apparently no reason other than he likes winding people up. I think that he moved to X because he thought it would get him more attention than he was getting here, and he moved back here because the people on X were far far quicker to catch on to him than he expected.

To be clear, that's purely my opinion of his footballing knowledge. It is pretty much undeniable that he is a very decent person in real life and has dedicated a huge amount of his life to helping children from challenging circumstances - if I was not in exactly the same boat, having worked with young people for my entire adult life, I probably wouldn't bother calling him out whatsoever.

But some people will say he's just doing it for fun and isn't claiming to be a real source of knowledge, and some people will say he does it out of the goodness of his heart and it's not his fault that he's usually incorrect. By definition, that means defences are split.

The 'he's just doing it to entertain us' image comes entirely from other people. He presents himself as an inside source of information who should be listened to and respected. I've never once seen him say 'guys don't take me seriously, I'm purely here for your entertainment and don't have any information'. That's purely an image that other users projected onto him because it is easier than accepting that they were wrong to trust him. All the information from the horse's mouth suggests that he does not want to be viewed as entertainment at all, but as a serious journalist. He wrote an essay about it on X.

If we had been lied to for years and years by our board, the only way through that would be to laugh at the absurdity of it. I think I have been clear enough that I don't believe this is the case whatsoever.

The pile on to any criticism is unwarranted. You see it in plenty of threads. The herd mentality takes over and the few outspoken voices soon get run over and put down.

Still maintain that his reasons are his own and if you don’t agree, ignore. Posting a few music videos that may or may not give a clue won’t have any bearing on the 115 result.

Some kind person tipped me off about certain agents asking City for assurances re the current case.

I've done some asking and stood it up.

City, as they did in January, and are now doing in current negotiations for players this summer, are insisting to their clients that there is nothing to be concerned about.

To be honest, I don't know why I didn't think before that agents would be asking those questions.

I was put on to it by a fellow Blue with a contact not far from UEFA HQ.

Not a home run, but a very decent one at this late stage in the game!!

Sure, but a few posters get genuinely quite offended and angry if you say that Tolmie doesn't have any info. It's a have cake/eat too situation.

This thread is a good example - a lot of people have come to his defence, and from everything we hear he's a genuinely good guy in real life so I can understand that.

But their defences are split. Half are saying that his posts are harmless fun and shouldn't be taken seriously, and half are saying that his posts are genuine info he is passing on in good faith. If we all committed to the 'he's just trying to entertain us and we shouldn't take his posts as any indication of any real news' then it'd be no problem.

Have you seen how some posters act on here, you've been here long enough to know, we have a very wide spectrum truly knowledgeable ones to complete fanny wipes with all points in-between.

I think the only decent size thread that didn't end up in arguements was when Rik Mayall died.

It's always been a case of sifting through the crap and using the ignore button to keep the board at an acceptable level.

City reported additional costs of £89 million to uefa under their “reporting perimeter”. This perimeter includes any entity that generates income. So Tebas theory that we dump costs to companies mansour owns is bullshit. City must comply.

The £89 million covers costs both from inside the cfg and outside entities.

Probably some accounting tactic. No doubt masters will be along soon to investigate.
