PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The alternative is believing that there's a shadowy cabal that's constantly trying to target City specifically and protect the "redshirts" but is simultaneously an existential threat to the club while completely ineffectual at doing either of these things and incapable of actually impacting anything on the pitch where these "protected" clubs fail year after year.
That's not THE alternative, that's AN alternative.

You're quite weird, pal.

Remove our domestic titles, & this is how FFP/PSR was designed to shape the Premier League.

2010 - Chavs
2011 - ManUre
2012 - ManUre
2013 - ManUre
2014 - Dippers
2015 - Chavs
2016 - Leicester (The fairytale anomoly)
2017 - Chavs
2018 - ManUre
2019 - Dippers
2020 - Dippers
2021 - ManUre
2022 - Dippers
2023 - ArseAnal

If the above was the case with ManUre, Chavs & the Dippers dominating English football, with City being Europa/Conference League regulars at best, dya really think we'd be going through the FFP/PSR travails we are now & have in the past? No chance!

We're unwanted trespassers in their private members club & they want us ejected, but they can't. Hence they keep changing their club rules in the hope their old order can be restored.

This is why it beggars belief that City fans keep talking about life beyond Baldy as if we're wishing him gone. To my recollection, Pep's never intimated he wants to leave. It's our opposition who want Slaphead gone in the hope they can reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs.

City are oil money invaders from the Middle East & the old money of the Premier League want the stench of us vanquished.

No, its much more straightforward than the winning of titles. You need to follow the money...

The important thing with regards to the money is qualification for the Champions League. Once you're there. you earn significantly greater income (and profit) by extra TV, commercial deals, matchday income etc. In England, it was all very nice - three spots for Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal. Then along come Chelsea and miraculously a fourth spot opens up. Then along comes City and...oh, wait a minute. the existing teams can't simply guarantee qualifying each year. Even more problematic with Newcastle threatening to join the party....

So actually who wins is irrelevant, just being in the room's the key to this. So, stop the new guys becoming good enough, and as a side issue relieve the pressure on the existing teams actually ahving to spend to keep up...

Remind me, is that the redshirts that have won 1 of the last 10 Premier League titles between them?

They're the ones controlling everything are they? The club in 7th?

And the associated rule that you're certain is aimed at us, was that brought in 6 months after our takeover to cripple our progress? Or was it brought in 15 years later when we'd already won 7 league titles, but 6 months after Newcastle's takeover?
You’ve clearly not followed the story. It began in 2018 when UEFA tried to argue that associated sponsors were, by definition, related under IAS 24. Ultimately they lost that. Now you follow it from there…..

UEFA are the Premier League now?

Absolutely.

You have the patience of a saint. I'd have just told him to fuck off by now.

So just so I've got this clear.

1)FFP was dreamed up to have the league always be won by United or Liverpool.

2)FFP was brought in and in place for 10 years.

3) United and Liverpool have won 1 title in this time.

You've convinced yourself a scheme was created to stop City, it was brought in, it had absolutely zero effect, and that's proof the evil scheme exists.

...and now the rules are being changed to benefit new owners with money coming in and competing with the "protected teams" you're convinced that's also proof of the protection scheme.
It did have an effect

Rodwell and Sinclair in summer 2012 rather than Di Rossi and Hazard

We’ve succeeded in spite of the hurdles deliberately placed in our way

Which is all a great theory apart from the fact it (a) didn't stop the new guys becoming good enough and (b) didn't relieve any pressure on the existing teams spending to keep up, United are the highest spending team in the league and they're paying record amounts to do record breakingly bad.

Whether there’s an organised conspiracy or not, there can be no doubt that whatever attempts there have been to hamper our progress have plainly been (to date) inefficacious.

There is simply no escaping that and is not always reflected in much of the output in this thread.

Imagine what it would be like if we’d not been so dominant for the last 12 years!

They're basically just not very good at coming up with rules to stop us
