PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Do you think the political processing of an IR may be affected whatever the result?
I dont see how? We dont have an independent regulator as yet, and they just need to announce the result. Unless the PL are deliberately delaying so they can hide their unfavourable result behind the regulator? But that seems a bit of a stretch to me?

Neither City or the Premier league are delaying the outcome of the tribunal's findings.
The tribunal will release it,when they feel fit, but rest assured there are 3 people and their ancillary staff who already know the outcome.

The PL shouldn’t be able to delay the result being released otherwise it isn’t truly independent in my view. However, with this affecting a major trading partner, investor and ally, the government must be wanting to be informed prior to any release of a result and it’s reasonable to deduce that they would want an independent regulator in place ready to tackle the fallout, whichever way the decision goes. I reckon the IR and the Sheikh get to know the result before the club and PL do.

Has the decision been made to appoint an IR or is it still being debated?

The three on the panel? So neither the PL or City have any inkling? Why the delay then? There must be a reason, unless they haven't been able to come to a decision?

That depends on your definition of "an inkling", the panel won't have been updating both sides as they considered the charges for sure.

There's a reason there is 3 people on the panel, they literally could not come to a decision, whether it be majority or not.

Look it I’m not a lawyer but the longer it goes on the more I’m shitting myself. Just fucking release the verdict so we can go on with our lives for fuck sake.
Just feel it must be very close if it’s gone on this long.

As quite a few have suggested over the many months.
The decision will be released once it has been fully documented.
Not before and not later.
It's simply not ready to be released.

As to why it's not ready? I'm guessing that's down to the volume and legal complexities of the case and it's verdict.

No shenanigans, no politics, just a lot of work.

That's my view anyway.

That's a lot of work?? I dont see how something like this could take so long. Put aside the repetition and it's just six or seven charges is it not?

Based on the little I know, my understanding is that the outcome has been decided for a few months.

The PL have requested the delay in publication and my supposition is that they want the time to headhunt a new CEO, because Masters won't survive once the verdict is public.

Could something have happened to one of the 3 people on the case? What happens if one of them gets sick for a few months and cant relay their judgement? Would they wait or crack on with just the two left? Kinda feels like something must be holding it up.

Wow, that is clearly great news, im just surprised that the result hasn't been leaked by anybody? Also why would they panel agree to the PL request to delay publication, when im sure City would want the result published ASAP. Does this not show some bias ? Or is this common in legal cases?

Are you saying that you've been told that the PL have requested the delay in publication? From a reliable source if so?

Surely if the PL know the outcome then so do City, and if that's the case we would want any positive news on this out in the open at the first possible opportunity.
