PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

So you don't think it's the case that the verdict documentation is simply not ready.

Seems the likeliest explanation to me. Even if it's been leaked.

Do you think it's even possible that what you're hearing is simply a rumour of the outcome, and that its simply not complete?

I have real difficulty believing that the delay is due to the PL being busy headhunting a new CEO. I know that part is only a theory though.

Obviously i hope we've been cleared etc.

I'm struggling to believe this, I doubt he has spoken to anyone on the panel or Khaldoon. Why would Khaldoon tell someone who regularly speaks about the subject so publicly on a radio station? That just doesn't make sense?
 
No one is realistically going to share their sources publicly, and it's pointless to speculate about who they may be. FWIW, I still don't think the club have been told the verdict yet (which I assume is what Stefan was saying).

Absolutely they won’t share their source which is why it’s pointless posting absolutes “I know etc etc”.

Yes Stefan said 100% wrong so he thinks knows that each part of PB's post was wrong.
The City knowing part and the PL headhunting delay part.

I'm still in the camp that only the panel (who i would define as the top top top) know and it hasn't been released.

Khaldoon won't even be the first person at City to know in all likelihood. I would imagine the correspondence will be through lawyers so Simon Pearce and his team of in house lawyers would know first, along with a whole bunch of people at Freshfields and Blackstone Chambers.

Within hours of that letter dropping there'd be some sort of board meeting where they plan the response. That would bring PR, Marketing, CFG people into the loop.

The idea that this will be told to 1 person and you need to have the ear of the king to find out before the papers do seems fanciful to me.


So all you need to know if anyone at City knows (which is all you need to know if PB's theory is true or not) is to be a confidant of one of ~50 lawyers and 20 people working in the building at City. You don't have to be going to family barbecues with the Mubarak's.

Which is not to "take sides" with one ITK over another, I believe both are posting in good faith, but I think some people on here think the circle of people who will know immediately is much smaller than it is in reality.

That goes for City, as well as the PL, and various PL clubs involved, so when a decision is sent to the parties, I'd be amazed if it's not on the front pages within an hour.

Dismiss away. I rarely say I know something for a fact. On this one, I do. And not from a single source. Multiple top sources. I am completely happy for anyone to go with PBs assessment. Honestly just trying to help on this one.

I have not spoken to anyone on the Panel itself or Khaldoon. If that makes the statement unbelievable then so be it

Feels like people feel fairly certain because they've spoken to someone so high up, that they totally trust they know what they're talking about. I know nobody here is doing it as a wind-up or because the tea lady told them.

So is it possible that youve both spoken to the same person but got different replies?

Scenario 1
Stefan/Ahsan have the truth, PB got given duff info to see if he'd leak it.

Scenario 2
PB has the truth, Stefan/Ahsan haven't been trusted with the info because they have platforms to tell a lot of people at once either deliberately or accidentally.
