PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

For those saying one of the charges relates to the length of the grass, it doesn’t. The K.20 alleged breach is from 2010-2012 so you need to look at the rule book for those seasons, not the latest rule book. The ordering has changed. It relates to player image rights.
There's nothing in it relating to K.20 for those years as far as i can see.

But putting the players on long contracts means they can spread the cost over however many seasons the contract is. So £80m player in an 8 year contract is £10m a season on the books.
I’m well aware of that, but there’s not a chance in hell they break even this year. They have costs other than amortisation don’t forget.

Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.
The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.
As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.

United and Liverpool are no longer for sale.

On hearing the news, the Glasers and FSG have decided not to sell their clubs.
I reckon both will end up taking a 10-15% investment with extra promises of fan engagement, it’s what they crave….no way they sell
