PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

How big of a deal is this, to us? @slbsn @halfcenturyup ?

:) I expect Magic Twat will be pouring over the report, especially as it criticises BDO's audit of revenue \0/

But in reality, imho, it makes no difference to anything to do with the 115. City has been a high profile and high risk account for BDO, certainly in relation to AD revenue, since at least 2012 and they won't have been making any stupid mistakes since then. And certainly not since 2018.

Also, if BDO had thought the club was withholding relevant information on revenue from them before 2018, then they would have resigned as auditors. They didn't so all is good, imho.

What say you, @Prestwich_Blue ?

Or maybe they have secured a watertight exit clause. Like if we are fucked then they will immediately cancel the deal.

Who knows.
In that case, why wouldn't they have just provisionally agreed a deal to be signed (or not) when the verdict is announced... or just not entered any negotiations at all until its all over?

You'll need to ask Puma. Duvet think we're guilty?
I tell you what I think , there is no fucking way that a Company like Puma would not wait a few months if there were any doubts about the 115 case . I just cant see it and the CEO has spoken so he is involved . I just can not see how City can convince them unless they can show Puma that they have won the case so City much know the results . I am just thinking this from the Puma perspective why would Puma sign this deal if any change of quilt ?
So you were right City know. But I still have doubts and will have until the verdict is out.
Fuck I have to continue working I hate this ........

He’s still trying to win that argument with the built in AI bot on Twitter

i think Puma would most certainly have brought it up prior to signing off the deal, could you imagine the damage to Puma if were guilty and had the book thrown at us, an iterview with Pep over cheating while Puma is splashed all over the place would be a sponsorship disaster
