PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I just knew the next thing would be a settlement, The not-guilty verdict tampered with a fine for something that keeps the doubters happy and they can still say we cheated. Manchester City should never settle for a settlement that still raises doubt, If the settlement is on the premier league side then ok they were wrong and with a compensation settlement is ok and legal fees paid
pretty sure khaldoon has previously said we would never accept a "pinch" again
once bitten twice shy one would say
we shall see

I quite enjoyed Simon Jordan waffling on about the seriousness of the charges and Stefan being far too polite to tell him that he was just repeating a point he'd make on a previous appearance in a way that made him sound like he was disagreeing with something Stefan had said. Very weird.
Today just showed how unintellectual he actually is.

That is an excellent point. Jordan shifting the narrative and framing future arguments in the event City are cleared - which given the aggressive way he went in on this means he thinks this is the likeliest outcome.

These TS chats by Stefan with White and Jordan have been informative and I think productive from a City perspective.
He was using this line of argument 2 mths ago.

It is, in effect, Jordan setting himself up for the later argument that City only won because they had the best lawyers.

I think you are giving him too much credit.

Jordan is not particularly well educated in these matters. He’s miles less familiar with the law and the case than Stefan.

What he’s doing when he brings back these talking points is not setting something up, it’s falling back on what he knows, and in this case, he’s falling back on the same stuff we heard about CAS and their lawyers etc.

I would put money on Jordan thinking the famous gif of Khaldoon walking in front of an army of suits is actually him and our lawyers (it’s actually a South Korean business delegation welcoming him to the country). He picks up his talking points form tabloids talksport and social media.

More likely a milk monitor. He`s acting like a kid who can`t get his own way.
Nice to see that he`s had a few "likes" but from the same 2 or 3 people. As for the "likes" from other fair minded Blue Mooners to other posters they must outweigh a ratio of 25/1 in favour of Stefan.
That speaks volumes.
To be fair, this is rumbling on so long that it’s no surprise that peoples’ moods and mental health both will have had highs and lows.

I think and hope that Stefan knows how the vast majority feel about how he’s approached and at times schooled Jordan. Jordan, though, is a seasoned snippy presenter that tries to bully every guest that goes on there and occasionally it might seem to some that he has, whereas others thought Stefan simply kept his counsel and even added a cheeky grimace.

It’s an old storyline from CAS/Lord Pannick etc. he’s falling back on it because he was out of original material and was grasping.

You see it all the time when opposition fans would accuse city of “money laundering” which was just an old Roman Abramovich/Chelsea talking point that they fell back on ignorant of how different the situations were.

It’s stuff like this that makes you realise none of these people are serious. They’re just putting City in the dock as “villain of the week” and using the same shit jokes and banter they used for the last club.
