PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The media narrative is changing with even a hint of blaming the PL for the mess, you can see the ground is being prepared for a way out but from what I have been told the only way out for City is complete exoneration no settlement that implies any kind of guilt, I believe this is where the impasse is, they should have believed Khaldoon when he said the club would not take anymore pinches.

I can also see the PL's side in this, this whole charade was rushed through (and we do suspect who rushed it) it was broken down into the 115 narrative in order to do the maximum dame to the club, but now it's damaging the PL, the only way out is a full tribunal hearing that City will win, and the lack of evidence will be embarrassing, how do they get out of this hole? For a start the media lackies are stopping digging them deeper watch this space

Obviously we have disagreed on the topic - albeit I think respectfully and in good faith - so once again I would just pick up on these few points, once again being my opinion only.

On Mancini, I would actually say it would be pretty easy for the PL to show concealment, not least because we all know full well that the reason Mancini signed the deal with the UAE was to enable both parties to lock in without risking his €14m payout from Inter.

I don’t think any of us disagree that for the most important topics, the evidenciary requirement is going to be huge and likely impossible to meet, but for €1,25m I don’t think the panel will have issue ruling ‘only’ on balance of probabilities, which again only in my opinion wouldn’t be hard for the PL to meet.

On Fordham, the agreement with City wasn’t wound down until sometime between 17 & 19, so it’s highly likely it won’t found to be time barred, but as I’ve said before, it wouldn’t have needed Sherlock Holmes to uncover the setup as Cliff was even a director….

That said, the Fordham arrangement ultimately added £59.9m in revenue to the club, so clearly it would in theory pass the materiality test for filing false accounts and acting in bad faith, however as above would in my opinion fall on the fact that City weren’t ever hiding the setup…

As said before, ultimately my opinion is that Mancini and Fordham are slam dunks for the PL, but they can only ever carry a minimal sporting sanction as Mancini is immaterial and Fordham was never concealed.

The interesting question is why the PL didn’t just stick with these 2x + non compliance which likely could’ve been wrapped up by now…perhaps the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for ‘only’ those charges.
Good morning motormouth, how are we this fine 4 in a row day?

Just a quick question. We just won our 4th title in a row, champions of England, we're all buzzing.

Why aren't you brimming with excitement and enthusiasm on the post match thread? We can't shut you up on here, banging the 115 drum every minute of every day?

Knew you wasn't a city fan, everyone on here knows, dare say the mods know too but I think you tying yourself up in knots and talking out your arse is too much entertainment to let go.

Champions again ole ole.

They could have closed the investigation when Uefa did, however their other stake holders who play in red and Daniel Levy kept pushing them to keep pursuing it as they assumed they could go after the stuff Uefa settled on in 2014. How they have added Mancini’s wages and players image rights (which Uefa did not have an issue with) shows this is a desperate attempt to try and make as much shit stick as possible. It’s no coincidence the Super League arose after the CAS verdict.

Ultimately which ever side wins they ultimately won’t win. If City are exonerated the spin has been put through the media that we simply bought our way out of it and tied the Premier League up in litigation, they will still try to brand us cheats who got away with it. Other side of the coin if the panel is brave enough to brand Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon fraudsters and criminals all hell breaks lose.

They are all so desperate for guilty verdicts, like crackheads needing their fix.
We are the scapegoat, the whipping boys, for their lack of investment, lack of ambition, and lack of achievment. We are the reason that they are shit, why their football lives are so unsuccesful.
There will be some serious mental breakdowns amongst the cultists at certain clubs when it is explained to them that we are simply years ahead of them at every level.
If they’ve any self-awareness (I know, I know) even they must be beginning to realise they’re sinking ever-deeper into ridiculous fantasy and delusion. Even the mentally deranged have the odd lucid moment…some of the bollocks I’ve heard, from scousers especially, is frankly bonkers. The media keeps drip-feeding the madness and they’ll totally struggle to cope when we’re cleared.
