PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

How embarrassing for The Times…

Not really. The result is the same, they just used layman's colloquialisms, rather than intricate legal technicalities and clause numbers most people couldn't care about. Clubs can still go after others for compensation, according to that post, it is just the process that differs.

It is embarrassing to be fair as they are suggesting we can be preemptively sued for something that hasnt even happened yet, from a legal standpoint how does that even work could be arrested for a crime you may have committed in the future?

Yet another smear campaign in play the week before start of the season:

Monday - a mystery PL club leaks the new date to The Times

Tuesday - get senior journos to grill Masters at PL event

Wednesday - get a mystery lawyer to say PL clubs will be suing City for £100s of millions

Organised and clear

Thursday - Bernardo Silva looking at 100 years in Strangeways for menacingly holding a cup of tea.
