PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I have experienced genuine hate over this in the last couple of months. Was having a bit of genuine banter with a mate and a rag interrupted and called City "corrupt" and me "trash" (something I have never been called in my 59 years before or since). The local walking football committee blamed me for it and dismissed it as "banter". He even threatened me verbally after a coming together that he initiated in a game of Walking Football - little man syndrome. Not that I was scared of him but it wasn't great. The local walking football committee did nothing about that either and effectively blamed me again!

My daughter who plays to a good standard and is head of her house at school but she doesn't tell people at school that she is City.

This is what the hateful media have done and the nastier elements of society have latched onto it.

Football365 are pretty well convinced that we are guilty. Oh hang on, they are now we'll convinced we're innocent.

Confused or just a clever way of getting click money from people.

I can only dream of a response like you propose. It would be incredible.

I cant imagine that Sheikh Mansour and the exec team are best please by the dirt thrown at the club and their personal reputations. Surely at some point they are going to want to start striking back.
In my experience Arabs are very honest, friendly, hospitable people. Small c conservative.
They care for their own and consider things carefully before taking action.
Once the case is concluded they may seek some form of recompense/retribution, (or not).
If the Arabs feel that they have been vindicated by the conclusions of the commission, that could well be enough for them.
I don't think that they would seek to attack the structure of which they are an integral part.

Great post.

I think that it is now generally acknowledged that the whole purpose of these charges was to launch a systematic, cartel-led and media driven campaign to destroy our reputation as a football Club (ie Man City, fucking bunch of dirty arab oil cheat bastards) in parallel with denigrating our incredible achievements (ie it's not that we have the best coach and players playing the best football, or that the cartel clubs are utterly shit on and off the field, it's just because of those same dirty cheating arab oil bastards that this happened).

Obviously should they be successful, this would clear the field for the total domination of the premier league by the US-owned cartel clubs, who would then be left to do with football whatever they please.

But rather than playing victims to this, we need to be launching a sustained and high profile campaign that effectively counters both of these objectives. We should be hiring the same calibre specialists in the field of PR, marketing, brand management and promotion as we have done in the legal field, with the sole purpose of utterly destroying the impact that the cartel campaign has had so far and will continue unabated until we act.

This is a strategic approach and one that should be planned for 12-24 months, starting immediately and going into absolute overdrive as and when the outcome of these bullshit charges is announced. Naturally it sits alongside the work that will be needed on the legal side as well as maintaining excellence in all our on and off-field activities.

And keeping Pep for another 3-5 years or so will be absolutely critical.
You won't change stupid and jealousy, just 2 ingrained traits of a lot of football fans.

The opinions they post are absolutely worthlessness either way. It’s literally just young lads / fanzine writers pretending to be journalists.

Worse than that. I've read the article and 365 are taking their quotes from.......Andy Gray. Nice to know he's taking a wee break from the misogyny to pass comment, but can't help think there's a huge flaw in his "listen, there's 115 charges so they MUST be guilty of something" take from all of this.
