Hopefully for the PL, their insurance policy was written by the same dilettantes that wrote their rules.The legal bills are the PL responsibility not that of the shareholders. It is likely they have insurance. If not, they are even more shambolic and disorganised that we already thought.

If the pl ie the clubs are paying the lawyers against City. Does that mean that City are paying for our lawyers and also towards the pl lawyers. Surely we can't be paying towards lawyers working against us !
The PL is a separate company with an independent identity.
We are not paying their costs save in the most indirect way.

Their premiums are likely to rise exponentially if they lose.Hopefully for the PL, their insurance policy was written by the same dilettantes that wrote their rules.
They are currently in dispute/ litigation with 25% of their membership and that could rise soon.
They don't have insurance. But what policy would pay for a regulatory complaint against a member club. Would be an odd/very niche product.The legal bills are the PL responsibility not that of the shareholders. It is likely they have insurance. The PL doesn't have its own money. It takes funds from the revenue in to pay its costs and then passes money to the clubs. The PL is not funded by a third party.
To be fair, I don't think they ever envisaged a scenario where they would be simultaneously running multiple claims vs a number of its clubs all with budgets at the very top of English commercial disputes
