PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

History is littered with examples. Nazi Germany, Poll Tax, Window Tax. Everyone at work signed a document saying they’d adhere to a dress code. Guess what. Monarchies, Governments, Board Rooms make stupid rules and they get broken and or quickly forgotten.
In addition the vast majority of laws are never enforced either because of a lack or resources or political will. The police are ruthlessly selective in the cases they pursue. More than 90 per cent of fraud allegations are not even investigated for example. Only one person has ever been convicted of smoking in a car with a child in it. A lot of legislation is introduced with a fanfare then nothing happens.

Question for the legal experts
Is there a world in which this hearing could just collapse due to lack of legitimate evidence?
Or do they have to hear everyone out and conclude at the end?

A lot of opposition fans want to be ignorant. They don’t want to invest in any time at all to even understand the rudimentaries of this case leave alone the minutiae.
The mentally challenged think it’s suffice to just post what they think should be the punishment.
The Social media age is all about instant gratification. No thought, no analysis no debate. It is the Burger King of communication, thought, analysis and decision making.
Sometimes I fear for the future generations.

not really. Closest to that is some proposal to settle on very favourable terms. All unlikely at this stage
