PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Much less confident now.

The PL is essentially judge, jury and executioner. Not sure how we get an impartial hearing when the PL get to mark their own homework and no court of the land can oversee it.
Save to the extent that the Panel members may have their own biases, I think you should assume quality arbitrators are objective and will deal with it fairly. But even in the Courts, litigation risk is always high. Few cases have merits confidently over 70%

Apologies if this has already been covered.

I have worked for the same highly profitable large corporation business in a senior management role for the last 38 years.

Businesses don't make decisions or decide courses of action, Directors and senior managers do.

Exactly who in the PL management structure is driving this?
This has already been answered mate but just in case my understanding is that the person who set this process in motion has been in the job for all of 3 weeks.

Honestly I don't see any way these allegations are heard in the High Court - skirmishes perhaps but not the main event. We are stuck with the PL rules I think. But I think there is a good chance this makes it harder not easier for the PL to find against us. But that is quite a big guess.
If thats the case and its seen they have not been fair to a club in their process (City) I cant see that will help their case with regard to an independent regulator. Quite the opposite if it drags out and City take it further, Not sure what is open to City though.

So the earlier Tweet from Martin Lipton referencing High and Supreme Court is nonsense?
Sounds like posturing but could be true. I can't see how but perhaps they can find a way. I doubt it though, but maybe thats just my negativity (;-))

I should add, IF we end up in the Supreme Court my original tweet about relegation will be the least of our problems. Something would have to have gone VERY BADLY WRONG to end up there. It won't happen but just to give context.

If nothing else it is contrary to the rules of natural justice
Yes, that's what bugs me, it seems that the PL can stitch up whoever they choose as long as there's no recourse to the courts or any external and truly independent body (not one chaired by a member of a club who would benefit directly if we're punished.)

Fuck!

I’ve just had a thought.

Rick Parry is the chairman of the EFL.

Should City be relegated, City would have to deal with that Scouse c*nt again.

One of the UK’s most experienced leaders in football, Rick Parry - Chairman of the EFL Board - served as both chief executive of the Premier League between 1991 and 1997, and Liverpool Football Club between 1997 and 2009.

In September 2016, he was elected to the Investigatory Chamber of UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Control Board, having been nominated by the European Club Association. He stepped down in October 2019.

Thanks and cheer up ;)
