PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I would doubt that your management will be giving too much away to the players but the fact is that the IC despite rumours to the contrary have now heard the evidence brings a different perspective.
Hey all this is speculation but there is something significantly impacting and sorry I don’t think it is coincidence that your current poor run of form broadly aligned with the commission sitting

You won’t get much love for this and I’ve probably posted long enough people know I’m a blue.

I have had that same thought and the distraction in itself is going to have an impact.

This theory only works if Khaldoon or someone senior spoke to the players before hearing to discuss possible outcomes, effect to them and somehow it has caused a loss in focus or motivation.

It would make sense for this to happen at the start or just before the hearing for me. However, it clearly would not be don’t bother trying as could be all in vain etc. which is what people are trying to point to.

The drop off in results has been huge, but the performances the gaps not as big. We where lucky to win some of the games we did and some games we’ve been a bit unlucky in this run.

So I think it could be right and something has happened, but what I am not quite sure.

That said you have a rival fan on the wind up vibe, so with that in mind I’m wrong a lot more then I’m right and the communication from people inside the club seems to be very positive at least before the hearing, not much noise either way since.

You also have to remember very few people or rival football fans understand these charges.

It does seem a high bar for PL to get over given it is so long after the event. I would prepare to be disappointed if I was you as bar none co-op it is unlikely much of note will stick.

Yes our "client journalists" seem to have kept a low profile over the last 10 years when we have been vilified in one of the most hateful smear campaigns sport has ever seen. I can honestly only recall a handful of articles defending City over the allegations in the last decade and they were from Martin Samuel, one of the most respected sports jourrnalists in the UK.

It’s mad really, can we not get a foothold somewhere other then Samuel’s.

Surely a few first class trips to UAE.

I genuinely don’t think the club worries about the gutter press.

Figures are not checked but sure United have lost 370 million in last 5 years and we have made similar.

What a great article that is.

I felt for ages that there should have been articles around if Sheikh inflated sponsorships as claimed, then it still didn’t mean City had more money then United to spend.

I guess people don’t want to hear it.

I think we as fans want just the news not views of news.
The paying public as a whole want to hear good for their team and generally bad news for City.

Our owners could not care less.

Other owners want anything that gives them a share of the spoils of football.

Our owners use UK law when their financial investment is threatened.

The bad performances have coincided with playing a 34 year old Gundo with a 20 year old Rico Lewis, neither of whom are a defensive mid, in midfield, and a back four that hasn't had the same back four since September. Any discussion beyond that is noise.

This is precisely the problem. Everything is media-led.

I'm sure I'm not the only one where the discussion about the charges has started with someone asking, " what you gonna do when you get relegated?"

To which you say, "innocent until proven" or "sounds like you've got the smoking gun there"

Then you get, " you must be, look at all the reports"

And then I come back with, "show me one article portraying City's side and I'll find you 500 easily the other way. It's pure media manipulation".

And then someone gives it, "you're guilty as" and walks off.

Like clockwork

Or, it could be the fact that these players , who’ve dragged the club to an unprecedented run of success, inc an unheard of, unbelievable, 4 titles on the run, have finally run out of gas. I don’t get how some people don’t understand the mental and physical toil for the last 6,7,8 yrs on these players, and that it had to end at some point. Or, yeh, it could be that koolhand has told the players we’re fucked.

Not "know" but could convince the auditors.

And not a "positive" outcome, but not a significantly negative outcome. Which to me means the management and directors are still confident that the most serious issues will be successfully refuted and, together with their lawyers, they were able to convince the auditors of that.

It’s definitely an interesting development.

I also understand why the club would want it gone, especially in regards to the recent change in equity.

I have not really checked the report is it the same auditors as previous years?

A lot of truth in this. Pretty much every goal we have conceded has started straight in the middle of our midfield by people running past Gundo and Rico or has been a blunder by Walker or Guardivol. It is just Groundhog Day. With a few exceptions the problems have not come through a lack of effort by players. Just incompetence and exhaustion.
