Not a chance we are getting relegated.
Not a chance we're getting a 40 point deduction.

Can I reiterate that we have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG.

This is a smear campaign and a witch hunt concocted and carried out by the red cartel, the puppet that is Masters and the British media.

They are relentless in their task to obliterate us and are trying every trick in the book to put a stain on our success.

Not to mention the red cartel clubs owners and the Premier League aren't happy that they aren't front and centre anymore.

I trust the club, I trust the owners and I believe it when they say we have done nothing sinister or dodgy.

All of a sudden these cranks on YouTube have suddenly turned into financial experts and law students and seem to know what is happening and that we're going to get absolutely battered. It's all about getting clicks as they know every other club and their fans will be lapping it up because soon, when it's all been put to bed and we're found not guilty these pricks on the socials will dry up like a desert in a heatwave.
 
The way I look at it no one yet knows anything . A very few high up at the club may have an inkling as how it's going, that's it. The IC have got to pour over the evidence and come to a conclusion, so any so called itk that claim this, that or the other are just guessing or bullshitting. It's pointless getting excited or depressed by snippets of info that someone was told by someone that knows someone, who's dog works at the Etihad.
 
Propaganda. Launched by the yanks that now own 50% of premier league. Why would they not want the seven times winners out of the way. Control the prem and control the media. Surprised they've not dug trenches, or sent in the tanks.

We’ve been through all this the other week but you obviously missed it.

While talk of a 40 point deduction is almost certainly a Chinese whisper, Cheeseman relaying the story wasn’t a Chinese whisper. He said it and he knows he said it. He told one of ours at Anfield the other week and said that his source was someone “high up” at the club. The person he told was hardly going to keep it to himself was he? No, of course he wasn’t. Especially as that person, like Cheeseman, has plenty of contacts in the media and also a couple at the club. So the first thing he did was check Cheeseman’s story out with Tolmie who he’s been mates with for 30 years and to try and find out if Tolmie had heard anything along similar lines. Tolmie reverted back to him saying Cheesy was chatting shit. Since then, Cheesy has subsequently denied ever saying it. I find that disappointing to be honest. Unlike some on here, I’ve always had a lot of time for him.

Now it’s up to you if you want to believe the above but Tolmie can back some of it up, and although he himself didn’t hear it from Cheeseman, the person who did is a long-standing mate of his and isn’t going to make shit like that up. For some reason, I got pelters on here from some quarters when all I’ve ever done on here is post any info in good faith. I’ve posted positive and negative snippets on here about this case. I bet if Cheeseman had told my mate something wholly positive instead, those same detractors on here would’ve no doubt been wanking themselves silly about it. In fact, it can be argued that what I posted wasn’t entirely negative anyway because I made sure I also posted Tolmie’s rebuttal.

(I don't in the slightest mean to be a prick with this, but..) And?

Someone said they heard something from somewhere, possibly high up. All are blues, all are genuine, and it was passed on in good faith. So what? It is still completely unrealistic and illogical given where things were at the time and where the process was. It naturally got out of hand and picked up fluff as it rolled. It still can be dismissed as it could have been the monent it was shared.

Appreciate the backdrop summary, but really, can we not just forget it and move on. It obviously has no merit, wherever or however it came to be a rumour.

Agree with your last line fwiw.
