PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The way the MEN has worded that is outrageous. When City are cleared of any wrongdoing I really hope they take some action against the MEN and other media pond dwellers....
I read it merely as statement of either we are guilty of very serious rule breaches or the premier league have wasted everyone’s time nothing to do with being innocent or guilty if cleared

Just get this shit over with it's dragged on forever.
This is what they wanted for it to drag on and as has been posted above by Jam Tomorrow,a orchestrated smear campaign we will be cleared as there was nothing incriminating or illegally done by us,but the court of public opinion has us guilty regardless..

The muen have been a disgrace all.the way through this sorry saga.

This is what I mentioned about the contrast of what the PL is dealing with. This is no doubt in the PL office - there are City's ribbons...

As Stefan says, yes it would. Unless the PL has evidence that we're not aware of, the related party question is potentially the only chink in our armour as far as the AD sponsorships are concerned. But it's a very, very small one.

And for the cynic in me, it's yet more corroboration that this isn't about the PL acting independently of its shareholders, nobly trying to ensure there is a level financial playing field in accordance with its rules and regulations. It's about our competitors trying to nail us in any small way they can.

You have to think that the ongoing practice of consistently not recording Etihad as a related party will have been scrutinised and re-examined (at the highest level) in the light of both CAS and these proceedings. BDO in particular will be very sensitive to any implied criticism of their professional integrity.

Exactly. I'd be surprised if they hadn't taken external advice, probably from more than one source.
