PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I recall you have been saying this since the charges were brought, and nothing in the public domain has yet developed to undermine this statement in any way.
The reputational damage to the club is enormous, I've never been a fan of the let's drink rivals tears defiance so popular in here. In my experience, the constant 115 has adversely effected my enjoyment of our club's amazing achievements and I know I'm not alone, I'm sick to death of it, I really am, I want this thread closed forever and I want the club to exact it's pound of flesh publicly and with prejudice.

In the absence of a smoking gun, process is a wonderful tool for bad faith actors in authority to punish by other means, I've seen with my own eyes how the not so criminal justice system uses the opaque, interminably slow non crime hate shite to terrorise mostly elderly women into frightened silence. I don't think Khaldoon or Soriano either thought through or cared how the excruciatingly long drawn out 115 would effect the fan base.

We all know how this ends, there'll be no redemption in the outcome, no unequivocal innocence, just some variance of guilt, the only mystery is its shade and spin.

If we win, there is nothing more to be said. We continue to let our talking happen on the pitch.
I disagree. It would be nice if we could do that. But I feel it’s gone too far and they will try this shit again if we don’t hold them to account.

We need to go after all of them.
Hopefully HHSM purchase of the telegraph goes through then we can use them as our media voice.

We need to get across that it was a witch hunt oriented around racism and jealousy.
We need the general public to know how nefarious this case was.
We need the PL to be held to account and the media (that **** Herbert et al…) too.
They wouldn’t get away with saying what they said about any other business.
Or even football club.
We need to go after the bastards with all guns blazing.
Masters needs to resign and so do all the other members of the PL who enabled this like Mai Fyfield.
The next man or woman in the media to say anything defamatory we make an example of them, we bury them in legal costs and take no apology or settlement we drag them all the way through the court system and set the precedent.

We need to ensure this never happens again.

If we get that across the true reasons for this investigation the media and the PL will hopefully be too scared to pull this shit again.
Then we can let all the talking be done on the pitch.

Dec can hold his piece of paper aloft, but this would be the correct strategy.

Oh yeah! if we found guilty of not cooperating and innocent of everything else the headline firsts line will be "Man City Found Guilty" then you'd have to read the article to find out we actually innocent!

The club should, but I doubt it will.

Why are you restricting this to what people say after the verdict? The damage has already been done. There are plenty in the media who, if the outcome is one of exoneration, have previously said things which are untrue, not caveated in any way and damaging to the club in the knowledge that City wouldn’t respond to them while matters were ongoing (or possibly at all).

I would also add that as much as I love Pep, and as much as his English has greatly improved in the last nine years, I don’t feel he articulates himself on this subject as effectively as I would like, partly because I suspect emotion gets in the way. He is ultimately the principal mouthpiece of the club, as he is the person with the biggest reach and appeal, but I am bound to wonder whether he will be able to convey the sense of injustice many on this thread feel about this whole situation and the motivations behind it in a way that does justice to it. Not sure what the answer is to that, but certainly more stridency from the club’s comms than the hitherto odd anodyne ‘irrefutable’ and ‘clear and organised’ would certainly help.

Think a big fuck off Molotov cocktail needs to be chucked in personally, but I fear the club will be too reticent about throwing the baby out with the bath water. Like I said previously, hope I’m wrong on this.

The perfect fumble with the perfect post.

To varying degrees I've fallen out with friends, acquaintances, people I've only been introduced to 10 minutes earlier and even relatives over this accursed matter. For a long time I attempted to engage with whomever had lobbed whatever grenade of ill-informed banality or 'cheats' related banter in my direction, but long since gave that approach the heave-ho in favour of blunt and unmistakable contempt. I'm utterly sick of the whole business and, like you, it has adversely affected my enjoyment of our achievements, particularly during the last 18 months or so. When this is all over, my fervent wish is that we reject any offers of reconciliation and instead opt for the Cersei Lannister approach.

"I choose violence......"

I sincerely hope that the club are planning for that time when the verdict comes out. The club need to own that period, like they did with the apt ruling, we need to be combative and call out any misinformation strongly and quickly. If it goes out way that is. But even if it doesn't too.
