They can try but I honestly don't think we'll accept anything that isn't unequivocally factual. I don't believe our ownership group has the least bit of interest in seeing to it that the Prem save face, nor should they. I truly believe City has and will continue to approach this as all or nothing...Assuming you’re right that we won’t get relegated, do you think that the PL have to save face & find us guilty of some of the lesser charges & thus dock us points?

I just think charging us and actually killing us are 2 very different things. That said I have no idea what the bullshit panel will decide, but I know City won't accept relegation. What City would actually do would remain to be seen but it won't be playing in any lower tiers no matter how many wishful thinkers there are out there...The insane act of self destruction by the PL has already happened.

This thread has taken a twist from discussing whether or not we're likely to be found guilty to what our punishment will or won't be.
Don't worry, we are nearly back full circle to discussing how the club will finally nail the scousers for the hack.

They were unable to predict a way to structure their version of FFP to stop City at the time initial investment phase of our business plan occurred. Even their much adjusted rules and control of refs and var failed miserably.The Premier league are already regretting the panel's decision to deduct Everton ten points and the fall out that will cause with several clubs claiming compensation , if they took points from us the compensation claims would increase ten fold.

Iirc, the government said at the time that they would pass legislation to stop British clubs playing outside the existing pyramid. I suppose the IR is a step in that direction. There are plenty of other things they can do, I guess. Nothing to stop "Manchester" United moving its franchise to, say, Reykjavik, though.I mean exactly that.
