PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If a guilty verdict comes in (NOT SAYING IT WILL), most fans of Liverpool, Arsenal etc are saying that stripping of titles etc is an absolute must. That'd be absolutely devastating, wouldn't it? Can't see it myself.
I see some of said fans desperately screaming that, but can't see it myself either, bud.

However, I'm no expert in these matters, but neither are they. I've been prepared for the worst outcome but have gradually become more confident the more the bollocks have been spouted.

EDIT: Appears you're sad enough to waste your time pretending to be someone you're not. What a weirdo.

Anybody actually buying this bullshit

I've yet to see any concrete proof of this alleged claim...???
That the PL are due to make a major announcement this week regarding City?

Someone posted a link to the Telegraph in this thread a few pages back. I've no idea what the announcement will be, so we can only wait & see.

Hopefully they'll just drop this bullshit & concede that in the game of move & counter move, smoke & mirrors to stop City, we out-foxed them & it's now time to stop destroying the PL & move on.

My sentiments exactly...white paper inbound, Redtops went into overdrive and forced the hand of masters and the league probably under the illusion that this would somehow show they could govern it themselves. Hence them showing face towards Everton and forest.

And what they have effectively done is basically accuse the powers that be of our club of multi-national widespread accountancy fraud - let that sink in a minute.

So masters and the PL better have total clarity and substantial proof to prove these accusations, because in the end (if proven) would be subject to class action lawsuits from external MCFC investors to our boardroom

And once these jumped up charges are proven incorrect, the fallout will be huge and we all know how it will play out in the short term....the red cartel will turn on masters and blame him and shout from the rooftops through their mouthpieces that he is incompetent
This is what Stefan and others have emphasised recently - that three man commission had better have very, very solid evidence indeed to find that the range of people and organisations involved have been complicit in fraud on such a scale and over such a time period. This has certainly sparked off a hysterical campaign in our "objective" media and, as is said frequently, we are already branded cheats and frauds and the severest sanctions are called for. To that extent City's reputation is damaged seriously and, if not permanently, at least in the long term.

On the other hand , the article in the Irish Examiner, published in February 2023, to which Stefan provided quotes, emphasises just how totally secret the PL process is - to the extent that we shall hear absolutely nothing until we get a bald statement of the "judgement". We can only guess at the charges, we know nothing of the evidence against us and although a date for the hearing has been fixed we cannot be told when it is or when the verdict may be announced. From the start there was cynicism, that the PL has no evidence and that the PL investigation was bumped by Levy & Co to inflict a maximum of damage to City's reputation and to scupper any attempt to introduce independent regulation of PL football.

What if Bluemooners have hit the nail firmly on the head? If the government ploughs on with its plans for independent regulation? This doesn't change the plan. When it is obvious that such regulation is definitely on the way (because the PL is bound to no date for a judgement) the redtops simply allow the charges to be dropped ( as they would have been anyway sometime). The PL say simply that the charges cannot be proven and the media go wild suggesting interference by the UK government, the Abu Dhabi government and all sorts of other conspirators
to save their influential cheating friends. Case "lost" but City's reputation destroyed. I don't think our owners will be deterred in any way at all but life may be a little more difficult and certain other clubs would certainly appear much more saintly.

The crazy thing is, the PL must know we've already supplied all this info to CAS, hence them throwing the case out.

Etisalat satisfied their bridging loan from financier Jaber Mohammed in 2015, as agreed in 2012. Case closed.

None of this makes a blind bit of sense, unless the PL believe they've got compelling new evidence to offer?

This is why I believe this whole debacle was commenced at the behest of the Red Top Mafia & Spuds, who at the very least have reasoned the reputational damage to City was worthwhile, even if they don't manage to nail us on the breaches.

HOWEVER, the one thing they evidently didn't consider was the damage they'd do to the Premier League in the process.

Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg!
Killing the goose to join a bigger goose in the super league. City used as collateral damage.
