PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

So basically you're a pessimist, fair play...

Not really, ultimately I think we'll be cleared which is a positive outlook isn't it?

Right now though, there's no concrete information to suggest anything other than the case will begin to be heard in the autumn time.

This time last year there were rumours that "City executives have already dismissed 90% of the charges" and that X amount of charges would be "gone by Christmas".

Here we are, and the charges/alleged breaches are still there.

Not getting excited over people posting "I've heard xyz..." or read too much into some kind of mood change in the media or masters comments isn't necessarily pessimistic, it's just acknowledgement of what we actually know and what is purely subjective observations mixed with rumour.

As I say, I'm confident we'll be cleared because a) I trust the club, in particular Khaldoon. B) I don't think we've done what we're being accused of doing. But that clearance/innocence imo may not be known until this time next year pending any appeals.

Having spent a depressing amount of my life in board meetings, as I suspect is the same for you HCU, at best they’re getting a 5 minute rundown from Cliff for the CFG combined to make more time for something from the Waitrose finest collection.

I’d be shocked if the NED’s know anymore about the case than most people on here do as ultimately it’s not relevant for them.
Why the need to bring your depressing life on here?

Can I just say we were saying leaks from premier league uefa or whoever were showing they couldn’t be trusted and weren’t able to hold their piss or mischief making, last couple of weeks we have had people purportedly with inside information ( leaks )from City so what’s the difference ..think I’ll hold fire until the club itself comes and says something..

You can’t see the difference between the judge & jury leaking……

I was more interested in the whole phrase - 'the case will resolve itself at some point in the near future'... How's that then? Suggested to me that they don't have any control over it any more. Cases don't resolve themselves unless they fall apart and can't proceed (or the accused party fesses up), and if you're planning to present a killer argument to the tribunal then you'd expect your case to resolve it at the tribunal. Not for it to resolve 'itself'. Weird choice of phrasing, and I suspect, quite deliberate.

I think it's over myself, and they're currently begging City for ways to save face. Maybe they will throw them a bone, maybe not...
It was weird. The case of the century, high level fraud and all masters says is that “it will resolve itself in the near future” lol.

It sounds like a climb down to me. A bit like we brought this huge case based on not really much, got opposition fans and the media foaming at the mouth. Threw aload of dirt to tarnish the club to satisfy the failures of others.

Yea we have done enough and shown those Abu Dhabi boys who is boss, now let’s resolve this behind closed doors and no one is any the wiser. Mafia would be proud.

It’s only fair for winning so much.

It’s over, enjoy the crying.

Manchester City's 115 charges into breaching FFP have NOT been dropped https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...tml?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton

Daily Mail reassuring the red cartel pricks and the rest of the sheep.
I thought the rumour wasn't that it's already been dropped, only that they've opened dialogue with a view to potentially doing so?

I say let all the anti-City press talk all the big talk they like and tell City fans they know best, twitter journos too. Bookmark/screenshot it for posterity. Encourage them to commit to it far stronger than this tame effort(he's not said much really just that he's been told it hasn't happened... yet), if you're confident in the outcome enough.

I think we should stick to the narrative that the PL don't have much, if anything at all and even if it does get to a hearing, it will go City's way. If we turn out to be in the wrong, fair enough... but if they turn out to be the ones full of hot air(again), let the fun begin, when the time comes. Show no mercy, having more ammunition to mock them with, will just make it more fun.

Edit: Same goes for the doom-mongers on here that people are getting worked
up about. Wasn't there someone before the CAS hearing, that was arguing until he was blue in the face, that we were all being too naive(to the point of ridicule and insults) and City were definitely fucked?

Best thing to do is hold them to it when they force it too much, no need to be too personal or start putting words in peoples mouths though, just stick to the facts on what they said and let them hold it. Of course they can always create a new account or a sock account to carry it on at a later date when it suits them but the join date and debating style is normally a giveaway...

Who is this fuckin lassel? All I see from him is negative shite. Not seen one post from him that bigs us up in any way shape or form.
But I bet if you pull him he'll quote verse and chapter that he's the biggest fan and supported us the longest.

His posts fuck me right off.
He joined the forum, the day after this thread started.
Tells you everything about why he is here and why he posts

Ted Lassel?

Define "a bit"

For homework look at:
Omar
Galassis
Jordan (gob now shut)
The Notts forest fan (gob closing)
BBC HYS (lot easier to remove negative comments, all of a sudden)
General reporting (or lack of, in msm press)
X-twit comments
Bluemoon comments
"Leaks" from club (tenuous, but fuck it!)
Pep news conferences
My own perceptions of general nuance.

When you gather all these small thread strands together it turns into a pot towel that looks to be being flicked venomously at the testicles of all our detractors. Which leads me to believe the club is on the offensive.
Obs, I could be seeing things that aren't there, but hope springs eternal, as a famous saying goes.

You slap your evidence down now, chumley!

There is also another obvious reason with the latest ‘anchoring’ changes being lobbied which again only affect City with the highest revenue. No need for it if we are out of the way.
