I'm sure given the huge financial ties our government have with both countries this Labour peer will be taken to a quiet room somewhere and be given a very nasty flea in his ear hole.

When we get exonerated in this Kangaroo court things like this will be every week, they'll try every small thing to get us banned/thrown out or relegated to stop us competing.

Had to check what happens next, so this vote is in the House of Lords and it determines if the amendment is carried forward to the House of Commons for further consideration.

"While the House of Lords has around 800 members, only a fraction are typically present and vote on any given amendment. The number of Lords who vote can vary, but it generally ranges from 200 to 300 members depending on the importance of the issue and attendance..."

This looks like a copy and paste of the legalise used to block the sale of the Daily Telegraph to the consortium that included HHSM. Given the devastating impact on East Manchester you would like to think some will argue against this. It's starting to look bleak, we know the likes of Lisa Nandy, Lucy Powell and Andy Burnham are likely to say or do fuck all to support us...

No worries, if he has to pay it back, he can presumably get a huge interest free loan off Tony Bloom, that never needs to be repaid. Just like his hypocritical no mark football club.

Clickbait nonsense that has been discussed on here already. The article even states towards the end that it's unlikely ever to come to fruition which doesn't exactly square with the headline!
 
I can't imagine ANY British government would want to complicate relations in strategically very sensitive areas of the world by forcing diplomats, members of government etc etc etc to sell their football clubs. I'm sure that a LABOUR government, if it wished to interfere in matters of ownership, would rather single out tax dodgers and those who register their clubs in the Cayman islands or such places or devastate areas in the interests of their club rather than those who seek to use a football club as a force to regenerate and revitalise areas to make the city even more of a thriving, teeming metropolis.

I see that it's "Rainbow Laces" week in the PL. There's a quote from Masters on the PL app supporting the initiative.
Whilst it's commendable that the PL and the member clubs are highlighting the issue of homophobia, it doesn't seem to sit well while they are actively encouraging Islamaphobia in terms of club ownership.

We shouldn't be getting involved in this type of politics either, I want to go and watch a match not listen to a message telling me not to be a ****.
