PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Morning

For anyone interested. I have an update on my ongoing civil case.
Not as interesting as this but case in front of jury later this yr planned.
Judge has told them should they lose they will be liable for our costs circa 50k as well as damages.
Value of claim is nowhere near that figure so potentially good news as it puts them under pressure to negotiate unless they want to take the chance of going to court. Jeopardy on both sides of course but I am confident having seen there disclosure.

I partially agree with you mate. I don’t really care how this thread looks as it’s looked a bit daft a number of times. Whilst it is the best source for real information and informed opinion that probably represents 20% of the content, the rest is fluff.
It does feel that posting that video was ill judged based on the information behind it. A soft sign yes, but hardly what a great many of us interpreted it as. Don’t really know what the mods could have done differently.
Anyway, at least yesterday wasn’t about negative news.

I think that’s a bit harsh! FWIW, I did say that I didn’t think any announcement was imminent, but what did you realistically expect us to do? Remove the video and all subsequent replies, and then lock the thread to prevent all the inevitable posts asking what had been said/why it’d been deleted?!

It was just a bit of levity whilst we await any actual developments, I wouldn’t take it too seriously. There are some excellent contributions to this thread from learned members (like @slbsn, @Chris in London, @petrusha, @gordondaviesmoustache amongst others) but much of the rest of it is just rumour, speculation, and general daftness. Given the almost complete wall of silence from all parties surrounding the case, it would be a fairly short, dull thread if we just stuck to the hard facts.

That’s great news mate, is there a date of a court hearing just so you can see when it’s likely to be resolved by. If they have months, they’ll likely wait until then from my experience.

Not sure I’d class anything from @gordondaviesmoustache as being an excellent contribution.

Also they have been given till June to decide if they want.to seek there own medical expert which they have not so far. They have had mine for about 12 months now
