PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The key word in all these predictions is 'if'.

If I am found guilty of murder, I'll be sent down for many years in the Big House. But as I haven't murdered anyone, it's all a bit moot.

You might as well say, 'if I were a multimillionaire' or 'if I woke up in bed next to Miss World.'

Jim McDonald likes this.

Idk why but I have a feeling we'll get the verdict in exactly one week - next Monday.
I don't think it will be a Monday because I understand the club will find out a day or two before the announcement.
Don't think it will be weekend because it's the weekend and don't think the club will be told on a Friday so they have that information over the weekend to limit the risk of leaks

'Were' and 'woke' are the 2nd Conditional subjunctives that go with 'would', but he deliberately uses the 1st conditional 'will', as in your first example, to make it sound more likely. He knows what he's doing, but it doesn't do much for his credibility.

i think it’s a bit bizarre seemingly confusing the APT and 115 cases and also making the point that any punishment could be decided by our rivals which I’ve not seen before and I think is incorrect.
Agreed, but at least at least speaks of what may happen with a verdict either way - a rarity!

Im not one to blow my own trumpet but during 2016 I did date an ex Miss World Maria Julia Mantilla , a lady from Peru , met her on a holiday in Antigua whilst staying at The Inn at English Harbour , lasted 2 years , and since you ask I did wear my City shirt for some action one night .
